If it's best at each position all time

PG- Magic
SG- MJ
SF- Lebron
PF- Duncan
C - Russell

Center is the toughest to choose. SG, PF, PG are all easy choices. SF you could make a case for Bird but I think Lebron has solidly passed him. There are 3-4 guys with an argument at Center.

If I'm building a team for an actual game and factoring in how people would play together, I'm taking Lebron and MJ- two of the best ever at both ends of the floor who can also create for others, and building around them.

PG- CP3. Elite defender, elite passer, deadly jumpshot from midrange and 3. P&R with Lebron would be unstoppable
SG- MJ
SF- Lebron
PF- Duncan- Elite defender. Good midrange shot for spacing. Unselfish player and good passer
C - Marc Gasol- nowhere near some of the other all time centers, but he plays great defense, can space the floor, and is a great distributor.

That's a team with 5 great defenders. 5 willing passers, the greatest scorer of all time along with the greatest scorer/passer combo in Lebron surrounded with guys who can make shots.

I think you have to put them together based on how they could play together.

Gary Payton - the Glove for his D more than anything.
Michael Jordan - Duh
LeBron James - Duh
Larry Bird - Mostly for his shite talking
Shaq - Most dominant big man of all time in his prime

Basically Payton dribbles down and passes to either Jordan or LeBron, whoever is open. They drive into the lane and collapse the D. Alley to Shaq or kick out to Bird. Can't stop won't stop.

F - LeBron
F - Duncan
C - Wilt

Though I'd really consider moving Jordan to the LeBron spot and having Steph Curry on the team as a pure shooter for my 2. Yes, already.

AD may very well find himself replacing Timmy in the next 5-10 years.

As great as this team would be, the 3 point shooting would be a bit lacking if you're playing the modern game.

I think you'd want to go with Bird instead of Duncan or Kareem.

As laughable as it is to put Harden on it instead of, say, MJ, its almost as laughable that so many people are putting AD on it, given the great PFs that have played the game. Let's give it a few years.

The thing is... I was joking. Others putting AD are serious.
