The question is not which one you would want to be a superstar in but which one would impress you more.

I think it would be MLB. For someone to rise to the top from all of the farm leagues and become a superstar, would be most impressive to me.

Definitely the MLB.

It's like 3%> or something of players who get drafted actually ever make the bigs.

ETA: Also, soccer should replace one of these. It's the most watched sport in the entire world and making it in that sport I'd say is much more impressive than any of the others, aside from possibly baseball.

Football has twice as many youth participants as baseball. Just because baseball has an intricate system of dragging out your playing days doesn't make it harder to get to the top per se.

Roster size is a little smaller though.

Are you counting in the United States or the entire world?

If I had to guess, there are more youngsters in the entire world playing baseball, whether it be in the streets with a stick and rocks, or in a youth league in the US, than there are slapping on like the $600 shoulder pads and helmet.

I don't know about a superstar, but simply making a roster in the NBA has to be the hardest of the 3.

This. The team roster size is very small so it would be the hardest. But there are so many guys that hang around the minors that just never catch a break. All it takes is one and they could be in the Show.

The NBA, by a wide margin, has the smallest rosters & IMO, the best athletes.

It's definitely much less impressive if youre 7'2 though.

The talent gap in the NBA is so stupid too.

Like you see role players making big arse money because so many people in the NBA aren't really that great, compared to the actual great players.

how about making the team in the spring and playing well from day one, so there is no long or short minor league stint.

I nominate Lindy McDaniel. never played in the minors.
success from day 1.

never committed an error in his entire decade+ career

Lol I don't watch much MLS, but I will go to a few FC Dallas games a year.

You'd probably be surprised the viewership MLS and soccer in general has in the LA, especially in BR and NOLA.

I would say making it as Isaiah Thomas on the Celtics is one of the most impressive things in sports.

He is 5'9 and a two time all-star!

I'm not talking about a journeyman. I'm talking about a true superstar, which are already so rare. But, I definitely think MLB

Baseball, because you truly have to do something spectacular to stand out from the rest of the league. For the most part, every player does the same thing as far as a highlights go. You have to elevate yourself via insane offfensive numbers or be sick in the field.

The NBA is a bit easier today since the sport and the league are so gif friendly. I can go on r/NBA and watch highlights for plays everyday. It builds a bit of celebrity thru that.

I'll never understand why the NFL is such hardassses about steamable and gif, it is free advertising

It's gotta be NBA, the whole league has what 360 players give or take? Thats what 7 NFL team rosters? Only 5 guys are on the floor at any given time.
