Yep like choking players, throwing chairs, grade-school bullying. It's typical for people to try to change their narrative as they age. Bill Gates starts a $2 billion dollar foundation and is a philanthropist. Bill Cosby does a lot of charity work as well.

Knight was POS human being. He lived his life, you don't get a do over as you see mortality approaching.

I hate Bruce Weber, but he doesn't belong on this list. He had some great Southern Illinois teams before taking over at Illinois. His problem is he can't recruit for shite. Solid coach though.

You know him? Your opinion of him is what you want him to be.

Yeah it's very close to what you said.

Bunch of people overrating Dale's coaching acumen in this thread.
I'm less worried about knighting Dale than some are worried about knighting Knight.

I watched this shite with my own eyes. What people's daddy's told them =/= truth.

I watched what he did also. You fell for Knights act which is even funnier notice everyone talked about him but never his teams when things went bad.

He played the media and people perfectly.

Miles Brand is a PIS for going on a witch hunt because he didn't have the balls to do it himself.

The game where he hit the phone was 87

The Dale Brown quote was also 87

It was in Indy

In 1981 I was a teenager

My former "coach" was a Senior on that 87 team and an Olympian

your hero:

No video of him choking players.

I also DGAF and will not shed a tear.

He won games though. Guess that's what matters.

Okay so?

I guess Dale Brown give 5 million of his salary to LSU library and over a million to start an endowment at another.

Your hero got fired for being a cheater. Without winning anything.

Did Daddy ever give money to help former players to get degree?

Really? Do you have reading comprehension issues?

Your hero is a POS person. It goes back even a few years out of coaching. You want to discuss Dale as a person v. Knight as a person? GTFO.

I already said I'm not knighting Dale, but you sure fire as hell seem to be knighting a horrible POS of a person.

And btw, your hero got fired too - from a university he coached to 3 NCS. Think about that.

Why are you replying to my question for him?

Regardless, this is going nowhere. I'll take the highroad and exit this discussion. I'll continue to have my opinion of Bobby Knight, everyone else enjoy his.

He got fired by a president that wanted to bring IU back to academics and set him up.

I would have sent my son to play for Knight no issue. He at least wasn't a cheater and baby like Daddy Dale.

You don't like Knight because you think he bullied people fine. But you do not know shite about the man or you would not call him pos you have vendetta because he made Dale his bitch and called him out. Just like you probably whine about Saban.

You keep calling a POS and I prove to you that he is much more than what you see on a clip during an eruption and what former players say but you don't want to learn about that.

Even as a UGA fan I can't agree with Bobby Cremins being on that list.

This is not a list of shitty coaches. Outside of 3 flukes and 3 cheaters, you have to make hard choices.

You haven't proved anything except your loyalty. There is much, much more to Knight's POS Legacy than throwing one chair and you KNOW it.

Again you ignore my willingness to end this discussion.

I hear you, but he was a pretty good coach and shouldn't be in the discussion imo.

What do you want to talk about?

The time he threw the photographer in the trash? After telling him to stop multiple times?

The time he told IU crowd to kiss his arse?

The supposed choke?

The slave whip? The explosion at NCAA PC after a loss where they assumed he wasn't coming out?

What do you want to discuss?

And for each of the public incidents I have provided something positive you refuse to acknowledge
