Well they are 8-4. I have no problem with it.They would be the 4th best team in the SEC.

USC would have wiped the floor with LSU this year on a neutral field.

I agree, PJ, but if Bama couldn't wipe the floor with us AT BAMA, I just find it amusing to assume USC would have done it on a neutral site. Unless you think Bama would have been about the 7th best Pac 10 team this year.

I just have always found that they seem to be rated higher than I think they should be. No matter who they lose to or how they lost for some reason they stay ranked.

Once they win their bowl game they will be ranked in the top ten to you off

Dude they are ranked 26, 27, and 28 in the three human polls. That is indicative of where they belong. The BCS computers aren't allowed to account for margin of victory, and I assure if they did, USC would NOT be in the top 25 since they lost by 20+ to both Stanford and Oregon.

Quit bitching and moaning. Who cares about these shitty rankings. Honestly, the only BCS rankings that matter are #1-4 because they directly CAN affect if you get an automatic BCS bid. Outside of #14 its meaningless since none are eligible and that's all the BCS poll is for determining.

A segment of LSU fans will always bitch about USC "getting over". Whether it is the AP poll, the BCS computers, or the referees doing it doesn't matter.

Just a fact of life.

ANYONE who thinks that USC would "wipe the floor" with LSU on a neutral field is out of their mind. For all of LSU's shortcomings this year, we would not have 50 hung on us twice.

This year's LSU team would challenge for the Pac-10, and depending on where we played Oregon, could very well win the league. Remember, LSU's shortcomings are on the offensive side of the ball, not defensive. Pac-10 teams can't stop anyone, but they can score. I think LSU would beat USC by 10 points this year on a neutral field. Both have bad offenses, one has a good defense, and it isn't USC.

Furthermore, shut the frick up about USC. They are 8-4 with a win on the road against the Rose Bowl bound Buckeyes. The closest win we have to that is Auburn, which isn't saying much.

FWIW, I don't think USC would beat LSU this season. Maybe at the beginning of the season, but not right now. Too many key injuries, and to be honest I think Barkley has regressed under new OC Jeremy Bates. I think we need to fire his arse (Bates).

Next season will say a lot about where our program is headed, because the OOC schedule is pretty light for USC (UVA at home, ND at home, Oregon at home, Cal at home). If we don't win at least 10 games next season, just, damn.

Barkley has regressed. I think USC's main problem is the lack of consistency on the coaching staff. Constantly being raided by other teams for coaches will eventually take its toll, and that's what we are seeing.

Very true. Now that suckage has arrived, maybe we'll keep some staff.

Then again, since the staff sucks, is that really what we want?

A segment of ALL fans will. It's just a form of backlash created by the media. IF USC slips down a few notches (still top 10) and aren't constantly being forced down our throat - that segment of college football fan will disappear. And to be honest, I enjoy watching USC play. I like their schemes, band, and cheerleaders!

I agree. USC '09 is eerily similar to LSU '08.

I HATE USC. But, they had one of the better wins of year beating OSU on the road and played in the second best conference.
