Bird's career was eventually done in by a bad back due to fixing pot holes in his mothers driveway.

Magic's career was eventually done in by HIV due to sleeping with every piece of arse he ever came across.

So Magic did it better

Sorry but contracting HIV is not winning in any way shape or form

What about the daughter he never saw. I guess he did pay child support, but that was it.

Larry Bird is an awesome fricking player, but I think Magic is still a better player.

Bird was one the best passing big men ever but come on. Magic was the greatest passer in NBA history not to mention probably had the best court vision of all time too.

Bird wasn't called 'Kodak' by Bill Fitch because he couldn't see the court.....

you are comparing apples and oranges

They played different positions

They were both valuable to their team,

Which one would I choose? Depends on if you need a guard or foward

But to act like Boston wasn't talented is retarded.

They definitely were stacked..they also had Tiny Archibald and Bill Walton for short periods of time. But considering how loaded the Lakers were at the same time, they accomplished a lot.

this argument to me seems like the pippen vs d wade argument around here a few months ago. the way i see it, bird(and d wade) are the better scorers and clear #1 guy on the team. magic(and pippen) can do it all but left the scoring to other guys(jordan, kareem).

there is no wrong answer, it`s what made the celtics-lakers rivalry so huge in the 80`s
