Current standings in reverse-
Bungles at 1 (no wins)
Dolphins, Giants, Skins (2 wins)
Falcons, Broncos (3-8)
Lions, Cards (3-7-1)
Jets, Jags, Chargers, Bucs (4 wins)
Of those, the Giants and Skins just drafted a QB, the Falcons have Ryan, the Cards and Jets just drafted a QB.
Teams most likely to swing a trade would be the Dolphins, Broncos, Jags, Chargers, and Bucs, as all of those either have no QB or one who is breaking down (Rivers).
The Bungles better hope the Dolphins end up at 3 because, otherwise, there is no reason for them to trade up if they are convinced the Bungles are taking Young.

Yet you think SF is elite. ?
85 bears mcmahon
Aside from great defenses you better have an elite qb.
I'd trade first overall down. End up with a haul over two years.
Jimmy G can fire it but no touch. No pocket awareness either. 2nd round trade a wash.

Peyton wasn’t a HOF QB by the end in Denver.
He still had the mind for it but his body had given up the ghost.

If Bengals had 2 1st rounders and extra 2nd's to move up with 2nd pick i'd say take the DE.
But w/o being assured you can get back into top10 for another pick, you take the QB.

What other highly graded QBs are expected to be on the board now that Tua’s likely done?
Hebert from Oregon and who else?

It'll likely take them a year or two to rebuild their offensive line before a rookie QB won't be hammered.
this is the point I'd focus on. putting a rookie QB in that mess is just asking to waste the pick, no matter how good he is

Eason possibly is a 1st
The rest are 2/3 round picks

Last time the Bungles drafted a QB at first overall, Palmer, he sat for a year.

From what was said about Eason in the thread the other day, I’d be hesitant to spend a high first on him.
Good QB but the opinion was that he was just going through the motions rather than loving the game. That doesn’t usually end well given the kind of work needed at the next level.

Because they had Kitna signed I believe and Lewis was not going to ruin him. If the Steelers don't cheap shot Palmer they most likely never draft Dalton.

He might be the most gifted QB of this class. But you better redshirt him because he's not ready.

that's b/c he was a guy who needed a ton of reps to play well. you don't see that as much in today's NFL

It’s a function of the class and a function of the team in front of him.
I’d rather Burrow learn for a year while they figure out how to protect him than him become the next David Carr and get sacked 80+ times a season until he is jumping at phantoms.

We’ll take Burrow. Then we should draft OL and LB the rest of the way(kidding, kind of). We have weapons on offense but that takes a big hit if/when Green goes elsewhere. Hopefully Jonah Williams is healthy next year and plays to his potential.
Huge fan of Young and won’t be disappointed if we draft him, OL and LB next year and then use a Bridge QB before maybe getting someone like Justin Fields in 2021.
With that said, Mike Brown will draft an injured offensive lineman with our top pick.

I'm on record since August saying Herbert will be first QB taken

i still think Burrow is clearly the best NFL QB prospect but i can see Herbert wow'ing some teams (particularly owner-led teams, which does fit Cinci)
Burrow's movement in the pocket and accuracy are just insane. he's on another level with his footwork in the pocket than pretty much any CFB QB i've ever seen. i really hope he goes to Tampa with Arians and Evans/Godwin
i will be really upset if Burrow goes to Cinci b/c that's 2 LSU QBs with a ton of potential who go to shite situations and are destined to fail

Herbert has
Better arm
Faster
Bigger
He’s the better NFL prospect
I think you need to judge him also based that he’s not had top WR in 2 years together
