If the Bengals were smart which I know they aren’t at times. You draft nothing but Defense you build that up and hope you score enough to win then next offseason go offense
Rams O got all the headlines but it was their Defense that really would win them games. They had 2 great DL and 3 DB that would start on every team
The Greatest Show on Turf had a DL that was amazing and could shut down folks.
You can even argue the Saints got better when they started getting better on D

Likely this. They should have made some trades of players like AJ Green or Tyler Eifert (hell, even Geno Atkins and Carlos Dunlap) before the trade deadline. It would have made this season suck more but it's not like it was great anyways.
And you have more draft capital to rebuild.

You would be dumb not to argue that, honestly. 3 straight 7-9 years. The last 2 years were such great successes because of the improvement on defense.
