so im on this trip and my brother keeps telling me that Barry Sanders is better than Jim Brown. I however disagree with him and think that Jim Brown is the best running back and ATHLETE ever to play football. What's your opinion?

Different eras. But BROWN is who all are compared to. Sanders was amazing. However I would put Sayers in that convo. He was a combination of BOTH!!!!!!!!

16 game schedule vs 12 game schedule? Two of the best but Jim Brown is picked by almost all "experts"

When Brown played the NFL was only a twelve game regular season. He led the NFL in rushing eight of his nine seasons. He never missed a game. Think about that as a running back. NEVER. His ypc is over five and he just happens to be the greatest lacrosse player of all-time.

Did you miss the fact he retired because he was tired of losing?

Experts pick Jim Brown as the best running back just like film critics call Citizen Kane the greatest film of all time. A Generation from now both will be forgotten.

barry didn't play in 7 during a 10 year NFL career when players were much bigger, faster, and stronger. more impressive IMHO

to me it's brown and and it's not even close.

retired at 29, 5.2 ypc, averaged +100 yards / game for his career, 9 x pro-bowler, MVP the year he retired.

not taking anything away from sanders, just that jim brown is the gold standard.

also shares a birthday w/ michael jordan.

i want to say that unfortunately, all footage of him playing lacrosse was lost in a fire at syracuse.

Barry walked away, he was on pace to be the best of all time... it was a sad day...

It didn't make sense at the time... I don't think I still know the whole story?

my vote; Barry
