On Arrenado, Freeman and Harper I think all three could probably hang it up at the end of the season and eventually get it,
And will be locks with at least one more solid season.

Altuve needs one more strong season or 2-3 solid years.

Unless you are adding in personal media bias I really dont see how you act like Arenado being ahead of Altuve. Advanced hitting stats (WRc+ and OPS+) have altuve being better, higher batting average, higher OBP more steals, more hits, less Ks, close OPS and Altuve didnt play at coors.

Altuve also has same number of All stars, an MVP, 3 batting titles, 2 world series. Nolan has none of those last 3.. ALCS MVP countless postseason moments (Arenado has made the postseason what once?)

The only reason he would not be a lock is if the media black balls him or he has a dramatic fall off.

Yeah, looking at that, Altuve is sort of bootycheeks unless you need some one of Danny DeVito’s stature.

Hard pass.

Roberto Alomar played 19 season. Give Altuve 5 more seasons, with average production and he will surpass the majority of his stats.

Mike Trout YES
Max Scherzer YES
Nolan Arrenado PROBABLY
Freddie Freeman PROBABLY
Bryce Harper PROBABLY
Mookie Betts PROBABLY
Jose Altuve PROBABLY
Justin Verlander YES
JT Realmuto TBD
Ronald Acuna TBD

The YES guys are in if they retire today. Miggy, Kershaw, and I think Greinke are in as well.

The PROBABLY guys just need to finish out their careers strong and not have the tires fall off. Machado belongs here as well.

Realmuto is the most iffy on this list, but catchers typically get the most slack it seems.

Acuna is 25.. let's check back in 5-10.

He’s the all time favorite player for a lot of posters here, myself included, but if you look at his career numbers, they just aren’t that great and not HoF worthy. Especially as a first basemen.

Trout, Scherzer and Verlander are metaphysically certain locks right now if they each get hit by a bus this afternoon.

Arenado, Freeman, Betts and Altuve are pretty much there unless they immediately fall off a cliff performance wise. Altuve of course has a complicating factor but I don’t think it keeps him out.

Flame away but I think Harper’s case may be a wee bit shaky. He’s had four otherworldly years out of 12 amid some decent to excellent years. I think he needs another otherworldly year or two to secure his plaque.

It’s too early to anoint Acuna although he absolutely has HoF chops. He’s got a short resume and funny things can happen on the way to Cooperstown, ask Dale Murphy and Don Mattingly who were derailed by injuries.

Realmuto ain’t never getting in without a ticket, IMO.

Trout, Verlander, and maybe Acuna, because he still has time to add to his resume. Scherzer too probably. Freeman with an outside chance, but definitely not voted in by the sportswriters.

It's hard to get into the Baseball HoF.

I wanna add Ozzie Albies to this list also. Dude is on a HoF trajectory and not too many people realize just how good he is.

And he's the emotional leader of The Braves, hands down. He is that dude
