My favorite is probably Championship Football from Dana X. Bible from 1947. It's amazing how much the game has changed but the book still has some great ideas. I've also enjoyed Tony Dungy's and Brian Belichick's books. Any thing else I should be on the look out for?

It sounds like you're looking for non-fiction, but my absolute favorite is a work of fiction: Bleachers by John Grisham.

Bleachers was a great read as far as fiction goes. I'm going to have to try some of the other books mentioned in this thread.

eta: changed it to fiction. I'm dumb, but not that dumb

There are several great golf books.

The Greatest Game Ever Played, The Match, and Grandslam; all by Mark Frost are fantastic. John Feinstein has written a ton of sports books spanning several sports that are good. The Caddie Who Knew Ben Hogan, A Good Walk Spoiled, and Open are other favorites of mine.
