Win? No. I'd put UGA ahead of you guys, but would do fairly well. aLso, depends on UF as well (if Murphy at least is a decent QB long-term, their D is still good without easley)

SEC west we would probably have a 3 way tie with LSU and Bama I think. A&M has no fricking defense

I agree with this

quote:

PAC would be interesting. Would be 2nd to Oregon I think. We would match up great with Stanford. UCLA would be a fun game too.

2nd behind Oregon/Stanford

ACC we beat FSU and maybe lose to Clemson. Boyd v Braxton Would be sweet.

depends on location, but i could see this.

Win the b1g and big12.

UGA has no defense. It would be Clemson 2.0. UGA is so overrated right now. USCe isn't nearly as good as they were last year either. UF has no offense. SEC East is weak.

ETA: I hope a Sparty/Gator bowl game happens. Would be an epic defensive struggle.

UGA beats LSU in an offensive shootout and it turns into OMG UGA is amazing on this board. If that same thing happened in the Ohio State/Wisky game the talk would have been about how terrible both defenses were.

There really isn't one supreme defense out there this year. Bamas is good, but not the same as it use to be. I think the Buckeyes could hang with and beat anyone with how explosive their offense is.

This is why I always say play the easiest schedule possible outside the SEC. If OSU can do it and "deserve" to go to the NC why shouldn't every SEC team?

Seriously? We've played 3 top 10 teams, beaten 2 of them, and the one we lost was by 3 on the road at night with a secondary loaded with freshmen.

Article is spot on IMO. I would probably put the Bucks around four in the SEC.

quote:

Hear me now, America: there will be another Civil War if an undefeated Buckeye team with that weak schedule keeps a one loss SEC team from defending the conference’s SEVEN YEAR NATIONAL TITLE RUN.

OSU rustles so many jimmies that I am ashamed to say there is a part of me that actually wants to see them in the title game. I have heard this from more than a few B1G fans who have SEC fatigue.

ACC: Number 1
Big 12: Number 1
Pac 12: Number 2
SEC: Number 3

You would not believe how bad defenses are in the sec this year. I've been to all the uga games this year and I have never seen more holes in the secondary than last week on both teams. This includes the gamecocks as well. Braxton would gash them even more since they would have to use somebody as a qb spy the entire game. All their games in the sec would be a shoot out and the only team I can see them losing to more times than beating is Bama.

I think the tOSU beats Washington but not Oregon, Stanford or UCLA.

SEC - probably lose to Georgia and LSU and Bama. Probably beat South Carolina - TAMU - is a wildcard toss-up - can outscore but can't stop. tOSU's O isn't exactly a machine like Oregon and TAMU.

ACC - who knows?

Big 12 - Oklahoma game would be hard fought. OU was quite a bit better than ND...not sure tOSU is a lot better than ND.

If I'm being honest, our defense has been pretty damn mediocre against everything but the run this season.

It's not just us though, every SEC team I've seen has left me feeling pretty 'meh' in one way or another. At this point, I think Oregon may actually be the best team, but TAMU is the team I'd like to meet up with least in a bowl game. Johnny would shred our secondary.

The difference is that we're battle tested and OSU is not. How would OSU respond when they're hit in the mouth and down a couple TD's early or at half? Does Miller have the moxie to lead a game winning 4th quarter drive late in the game?

For someone who claims to be a BUcks fans.

Do you even watch your team?

Or can you watch it w/o homer glasses?

Cause I don't know what the hell you're seeing?

If UW this year was in the Big10 - they'd be challenging.

UCLA would win it.

Nevermind Oregon and Stanford.

You really think you're a LOT better than ND that you'd blow out Oklahoma?

What are you watching? Beating up bad teams does not impress...I've seen enough of tSOU against bad Pac 12 teams and tOSU looking pretty mediocre - let alone playing the best of the Pac, the best of the Big12 or the best of the SEC>

As any regular homer, you seem to have a high opinion of your team that doesn't jive with CFB writers and observers across the country.

I love how some of yall act as if Braxton Miller is elite. Lets be real here. The guy can only read half of the field.

Nope, never

Sure can. We have one of the better offenses in the country and just an average defense that struggles with spread teams, but historically gets stronger as the season progresses under Fickell.

Of course they would, they're a good team.

UCLA would win it.

No they wouldn't

When did I say we would blow out Oklahoma? And yes, we are a LOT better than ND.

So you're basing your opinion off one game (Cal). Great fricking logic. About something I would expect on this board. With that logic, the 2002 OSU squad was not even a top 25 team because they looked average and barely won in like 75% of their games.

Eta... Can't believe I missed this gold

You mean the same CFB writers that vote on the polls and put Ohio State as the 4th best team in the country? Yeah, I'd say my opinion jives pretty well with them.

And by observers, you clearly mean the knowledgable TD base.

FWIW, tOSU could score with anyone this season. I just think several teams could out score us.
Bama isn't one of them. At least not on offense.

Ohio state sucks. I hope they do make it to the title game, only to see them get butt raped by their SEC opponent ... Again.

Oh and beating Arkansas doesn't count nearly as much as tOSU fans likely claim it does.
