No, they didn't. Jordan went undefeated in the postseason.

Sorry ... I didn't read that far. My bad.

But ... I distinctly recall watching that game.

A lot of people with bad memories or who never actually saw MJ play ... think he scored 63 and the Bulls won.

To be fair ... MJ was fricking awesome in that game.

Believe it or not, Michael Jordan did not win every NBA title from 1984 to 2003.

According to the OT, Jordan only played basketball from 1990 to 1993 and again from 1995 to 1998.

I'm no LeBron lover, but LOL at anyone trying to call him a prima donna while defending Jordan in the same breath.

he was, and still missed two game winners, but that doesn't matter for him, only matters if Kobe or Lebron would have done that.

I've been blessed to see all three of them for their entire careers.

I don't care about the opinions of others on these three ... they are all awesome.

And ... I was never a fan of any of of the teams that any of them played for.

Michael Jordan threw a tantrum in practice and punched Steve Kerr in the face, giving him a black eye.

I want to know about the "flu like symptoms" he had in that playoff game. I heard rumors it was food poisoning (possibly done on purpose), a bad hangover (don't believe this one), and an actual flu.

LeBron is the biggest prima donna in the history of sports. It has nothing to do with the decision. The guy is a grade A douche.

You don't know what prima donna means.

I don't get the love for Lebron. He has lost in the finals 3 times in a sport where one player can make the entire team. Jordan effectively won 6 titles in a row.

When LeBron left his 2 previous teams didn't make the playoffs.

When Jordan left the Bulls made it to the conference Finals.

See the difference...The Bulls were a better team then Cleveland or Miami...but with LeBron...his teams have gone to the Finals 6 out of 7 years...without him...they are not even a playoff team.

PRETTY SURE LeBron could have won those championship with the Bulls.

i was a big fan of Jordan back in the day but his HOF led you to his true colors. I saw what a total POS he really is. Not much of a fan anymore.

Notoriously bad tipper.

I had a friend in high school whose older brother caddied for Jordan one off-season. He said his "tip" was MJ autographing the back of a scorecard for him.

Yeah, wasn't it food poisoning purposely done to a pizza that was delivered to his hotel the night before the game?

He was a monster on the court but a grade a POS to many of those around him especially a large portion who loved & supported him. He never understood how to separate being a cutthroat on the court while being an actual person, instead of a mythical creature, off of it.

Tim Grover, Jordan's former personal trainer, told TrueHoop TV that MJ contracted food poisoning before his famed 37-point performance in Game 5. The food poisoning itself isn't the issue — it was originally suspected that the "flu" from which Jordan suffered was related to something he ate. What's newsworthy is Grover's claim that a rogue pizza delivery man was responsible for the ailment.

In the interview, Grover describes how the team was in Park City, Utah, and it was too late to order room service. They called a pizza place to deliver to the
team hotel, which Grover says was well known by locals.

Five guys came to deliver this pizza.

I take the pizza and I tell them: "I've got a bad feeling about this. ... I've just got a bad feeling about this."

Out of everybody in the room, [MJ] was the only one who ate. Nobody else had it.

And then 2 o'clock in the morning I get a call to my room. Come to the room. He's curled up in the fetal position. We're looking at him, finding the team physician at that time.

Immediately I told him it's food poisoning. Not the flu.

Michael Jordan was an a-hole, and always threw his teammates under the bus after a loss.

was a truly despicable human being all around.

Not quite Ty Cobb-level, but closer than many think

Agreed. Grew up watching Jordan from the time he was a star at NC to his entrance into the NBA. I, like most of my generation, idolized the guy. He was Mike, he was the Babe Ruth of basketball. As time has passed, I still appreciate his accomplishments on the court and no one could take that away from him. However, MJ is a grade A a-hole. I read an article in SI around the time of the HoF speech that went into depths about the "personal Jordan". I think the point was to make him more human, but I came away thinking he was a huge a-hole. The article talked about him getting cupcakes from his mother. To be sure that no one in his circle ate them while he was practicing, he spit on them. Jordan's on court accomplishments will always be special, but his legacy has to be seen through the lens of the times. He was a marketing genius. He was everywhere and on every product in a age before social media. Similarly, his private life remained private, namely, because there was no social media or TMZ coverage like today. Those of us from the Gen X tend to see MJ through rose colored glasses. He was amazing on the court, but, as a person, he was and is a prick

I'm sorry, but who really gives a shite if he was an a-hole? Most of these athletes are entitled and pieces of shite. I don't admire them because of their voting record, their stance on the "issues," or anything like that. I admire them because they do things that are borderline athletically superhuman. Do they get a free pass for being assholes? Not really. But you can very easily separate the two categories. Wilt was a POS. Kemp was exciting to watch and he has a billion illegitimate kids. And none of that really diminishes their ATHLETIC legacy.
