Even his assists are bull shite. He averages like 3 more assists per game at home than on the road. The OKC stat guys inflate his assist numbers.
Just food for thought!!!

Yeah. Harden held the record for most turnovers in a season. Both have broke that record with Harden holding a pretty substantial lead.

Both will break Maravich's record for per game. Was 5.0

WB 5.4
Harden 5.8

PTM speaks for himself. I don't speak for him and he doesn't speak for me. He knows his stuff and is entitled to his own opinion.

This place is legit retarded when it comes to rocket fans and Westbrook. Dude is doing something that EVERYBODY said would probably not ever be done again. But his rebounds are different along with his assists. His team legit has nobody on it but will make the playoffs in the much better conference. He should win MVP.

The hatred and/or jealousy from Houston fans towards Russ on here is hilarious.

I would tip my hat to Harden in a heartbeat if he does win the award.

Cool Now create the argument, with support, that it is happening with Westbrook. I've already given reasonable explanations for the difference They also, shockingly, score more at home and shoot a significantly higher percentage at home. He plays more minutes at home. fricking crazy that these would contribute to a difference in home/away splits

Here's what I found. I looked up the past 3 seasons for both Harden and Westbrook. I also looked up Harden with OKC.

Harden:

10.7 home
11.7 road

7.2 home
7.1 road

7.1 home
6.9 road

Harden w/ OKC:

4.2 home
3.2 road

Westbrook:

11.2 home
9.4 road

10.9 home
9.9 road

9.6 home
7.6 road

Westbrook has 1 to 2 more assists per game at home with OKC than he does on the road each year. Harden when he was with OKC averaged 1 assist more at home with OKC than on the road.

Yet in Houston, Harden averages virtually the same at home as on the road... and this season he actually averages more on the road than at home.

It's well known in NBA circles that Houston is stingy with their stats (they like to be accurate) whereas OKC tends to selectively inflate some stats a bit.

Last night, he becam the first player in NBA history to go 100% from the field AND free throw line while having a triple-double. In 27 mins.

BUT THOSE OKC STAT KEEPERS THO...

Remember preseason when all the OKC fans were saying HOU was gonna be the better team this year than OKC because HOU had so much more talent??

Yea I don't remember that either.

Fact OKC was picked to finish ahead of HOU
Fact OKC had 3 non Westbrook players listed above the 2nd rockets player on the espn player rankings.
Fact OKC is nowhere near HOU in the standings. Or net rating or point differential
Fact Hardens orchestration of the CC offense is the reason for that.

Nobody is saying Westbrook isn't good or that the team isn't better at home than on the road.

I'm just saying OKC's statkeepers do help him a bit. That's just reality.

They are the difference in him averaging a triple double and not averaging a triple double.

Great game.

But you don't win MVP for beating up on philly. Over the last two games looked at together his MVP chances have decreased. Due to the GSW game.

My bad, I didn't realize that we speak for ourselves while saying "we" in every point we make. Silly me!

We is me and others who are like minded and agree. If we have different viewpoints he is clearly not part of the 'we' that I'm talking about.

Do we trust the accuracy of this? I assume we do since it's said as FACT?

The "fact" is the that the players were ranked higher.

I mean whether or not we wanna nitpick every players spot on the ranking. Nah not interested in doing that. As you can see it's not the main part of my argument. It's very minor in fact.

You:

PTM just posted it as a little food for thought ie something to consider.

Sure seems like you did

remember calling it 'food for thought' ie something to consider. That's hardly stating it as fact.

"hey we know these numbers can be inflated and it looks like Russ's could be"

Something like that. That's the tone we using here

It's because the same arguments the media used that favored Curry 2 seasons ago against Harden are being used against Harden this year. And the same arguments in favor of Harden 2 seasons ago were dismissed by the media and are now being used in favor of Westbrook this year.

That pisses Rockets fans off. If the media wanted to give Curry the MVP 2 seasons ago, cool we can live with that. But don't move the goalposts and make the exact opposite argument from the one made 2 seasons ago.

Is that accurate? Do we trust that rating?

So if you think others are wrong, that questions the integrity of the rankings, and these could have been wrong as well, rendering your point moot.

Do we trust the accuracy of that set of rankings? It's a yes or no question.

When has NBA MVP voting EVER been consistent?

It's irrelevant, no clue why anyone would waste 1 second worrying about whether this guy or that guy will win it.
