57 points

13 Rebounds

11 Assists

1 Game tying 3-pointer with less than 10 seconds remaining to force OT

1 Playoff berth earned (Youngest team to do so this season)

(I don't think this team would break 20 wins without Russ)

Westbrook pads the stats so much he intentionally let the Thunder go down by a 21 point deficit in the second half just so he could single-handedly bring them back on his way to a 57-point triple double

And then kept dominating in OT to secure the win.

He's going to lead the league in PER, VORP, and box plus/minus and average a triple double and possibly not win the MVP. Such a fricking shame.

Oh by the way, he's going to absolutely obliterate the all-time record for box plus/minus. Only 3 players have gone over 12 - Lebron twice, Jordan twice, and Curry once. Lebron has the record at 12.99. Russ's BPM is currently at 14.8.

If that's the case, then Win Shares is the only thing that matters in this discussion!!!

You don't win MVP for beating up on philly and orlando.

Here's a great article.

This board will literally explode if the "unthinkable" happens and Russ wins MVP.

Not really. The dude has the ball every single play. Look at the box score. He doesn't make his teammates better. He's a great player, don't get me wrong. He is one of my favorites and I have been a big supporter over the years, but the Thunder have talent and they basically have to stand around and watch him do his thing. He will win you OT games against Orlando but in the end, he's going to lead his team to at best the 5th seed. He's had an amazing even historical season but it won't be a shame when he doesn't win it.

Harden may win the MVP, but he'll do it knowing full well he isn't even a top 3 player in the division. Pointless award is pointless

Nope; he'll go straight to his plan B: Player's MVP.
