Anyone know the point in this?

For example, if the Falcons were playing the Saints in the dome; why do some people get decked out in Eagles gear?

Falcons, Saints and Eagles are all fictional btw. None were hurt in making this thread.

Because they are douches and want to show their allegiance.

Because people want to be accepted and feel that wearing any football attire is more acceptable than not wearing football attire

Perhaps they are a fan of a certain individual that played for a prior team. I once saw a LeBron Heat jersey when the Pela played the Cavs in 2014.

maybe they are a fn eagles fan and ended up with saints tickets. So they want to enjoy going to a real fb game while repn their team.

I'd guess for attention. The odds of some random person talking to you about the Eagles in a stadium of 60K+ are pretty good.

I'm not saying just getting to your seats and the guy with the Eagles jersey is sitting there; I just see it more and more now. Really at any sporting event. Basketball, baseball or football.

I find nothing wrong in those who wear a hat, but jerseys are too much.

I usually wear an LSU shirt when I go to random college games.
It doesn't bother anyone and people usually come up to me and say "Geaux Tigers", unless it's in Oklahoma.

I got some nasty looks at an Oklahoma game.

I answered this question asked by Colorado State/Boise State fans while dressed in LSU attire after we beat Tennessee in 2011. "It's My Gameday too!"

Honestly I don't care; aside from my NFL team's starting QB's jersey that sits in my closet I don't own a single piece of sports-related clothing.

I don't even try to coordinate my shirt with games I go to, either. Like, I wouldn't wear red at an Ole Miss game, but I wouldn't GAF about wearing green to a Tulane game.

Live in Atlanta and have worn LSU shirt tailgating for the season kickoff games. Good conversation starter.

I've worn LSU shirt when asked by a friend to tailgate for a Bama Mizzou SEC champ game. That time it was because I didn't want to be mistaken for a Bama fan.--- Not that prompted some stupid arse comments by the Elephant fans.

Grown men should never wear jerseys though.

When I find myself at at other games and I have on an Alabama shirt, I just buy a cheap home team shirt. I have an FSU shirt that I take to Tallahassee because I go to a good amount of their home games.

yeah, u never want to be, "That Guy".

I know this asshat, who wears hockey jerseys to Cardinal games.

And if he attends a hockey game in another city,he will wear his Blues jersey, even though they aren't one of the 2 teams playing. I laugh at him, and have at Busch Stadium. There was one game where he was wearing some Czech league hockey jersey. Got people to chant Doooooooshbag at him.

I went to a pels v. grizzlies game this season and there was an entire family (mom, dad and three kids) absolutely decked out from their shoes to their hats in Spurs gear. It was very odd.
