So the scenario is this.

Guy is in DC and decides to go to a game. He wears the jersey of his favorite rapist. Obviously a douchebag.

But then the idiots in the stadium are giving him a hard time because he went to a game rather than sit in a hotel room and watch his team on TV. Sounds like they are douchebags too.

Saw a dude get his arse beaten in the MMP bathroom last hear wearing a red Sox get up while the Astros and mariners were playing. Some big arse dudes were calling him Ted Williams and other names then it got testy. He ended up slammed against the stall and kicked to the ground then those Mexicans high tailed it out of there.

I wear my OU gear to IU games all the time. Hoosiers aren't hostile fans and have gotten thumbs up!

I agree that anyone who has a problem with what another person wears to a game is a douchebag, but you left out a key point that apparently the Steelers were IN Baltimore.

FedEx Field and M&T Bank Stadium are 40 miles apart, in the same state. Geography wasn't keeping him from going to the Steelers game.

Why do people buy and wear "gear" in the first place?

Probably not a fan of either team, but wants to fit in. They bought the ticket, so wear whatever you want. Doesn't bother me.

I did this in 2004.

Went to Notre Dame/Michigan for the experience. Not a super fan of either teams so I wore an LSU shirt because I support LSU, not Notre Dame or Michigan.

Now, what I do hate is people wearing different SPORTS jerseys to another event. For example, some douche wearing a basketball jersey to a baseball game. frick off, douche.

It is my opinion that Philadelphia fans are the absolute worst about this.

People who aren't really interested in either team often end up at a game.

For some reason they think it necessary to wear the gear of the team they actually do like.

Went to the Savannah Bananas game vs. Ashenoro (college league)

There was a guy there in a Durham Bulls shirt. I called him bad names.
