The story of Jason Grimsley retrieving Belle's corked bat is legendary.

Should be a HOFer. Top 5 player in the MLB in the '90s.

It's not hard to run over a fielder who's focused on the grounder. Most people refrain because they're decent human beings.

Went to middle school with Albert and his twin brother. He was a couple of years older than me. He was an intense dude even at that age. Always seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. Hell of an athlete though.

I will always be an Albert Belle fan because that dude had enough respect for his teammates to pull shite like that.

In fact I may need to go into hiding after repeatedly calling him Joey.

Hell no. He was the most feared hitter in the game for a handful of years. Those 90's Indians teams were mashers. But that team was built to entertain , and they did,435 straight sell outs. Current team us built to win, with dominate , deep , pitching.

He could erupt, without warning, at any moment. He earned the nickname "Mr. Freeze" after he grumbled about the temperature in the clubhouse, turned down the thermostat and then shattered it with a bat.

He once executed the same treatment on Kenny Lofton's boom box. On Halloween in 1995, a group of teenagers tossed eggs at his house after he refused to supply them with candy. So, Belle chased after them in his SUV. He was convicted of reckless operation of a motor vehicle and fined for the incident.

If we're defining badass as a generally awful person who was good at baseball then ya he's one of the best
