You mean McElwain? Vegas actually had him as 3rd most secure in SEC.

He's perfect for Carolina, but 40-26 isn't good enough for their boosters. Carolina should be happy, but if they don't get 8 wins, he's gone

Ole Miss is going to be tricky...what respectable coach will want to take on that mess. Honestly, I could see a Butch Davis type getting that one.

Chip Kelly is a perfect fit at UCLA with A&M right behind.

Florida should honestly look at Dan Mullen or Gundy --

Tennessee....I have no idea. Petrine would wreck shop at There but he's still too toxic I think

Does Craig Bohl get a look at any of these places?? Why not, right

As an ole miss fan, I wouldn't mind a Craig Bohl. Not a recruiter, but he knows how to Coach and win. A lot of schools could do worse

Are you talking about North Carolina? The same UNC that has won more than 8 games once in the last 20 years?

Yes. Just like a lot of boosters at a lot of schools, they aren't happy with 7 wins a year.

They want basketball type success with football

Bohl seems to be a lot like Chris Peterson, both coaching wise and personality wise. I get the feeling Bohl only really wants to coach where he feels comfortable and knows the players, Rocky Mountain/upper Midwest region.

He also goes where one bad year won't get him fired and he can stay coach for a long, long time.

Both of those guys would probably be pretty good NFL coaches because of their talent evaluation, player development, and organizational skills. Also it hides their weak point, recruiting.

Nebraska
Kansas
Texas Tech
Arizona
Arizona State
ND if it goes south again
NC State if they win less than 8
Boston College

Those are all possibilties, IMO

Dark horse: Given the off field problems, if Michigan State struggles again I could see a mutual parting of ways between the school and Dantonio

Recruiting won't be one of the job requirements for the next coach being that there won't be any scholarships to hand out

Is Chip Kelly locked into the west coast? Because I could see UF saying enough with the experiments and hiring the biggest offensive name that money will buy.

Which I think made him potentially being fired at the end of the season a decent bet.

He was brought in to fix Florida's offensive woes they had under Muschamp. At this point it looks like they are getting WORSE in that dept, not better. He has only two regular season wins vs. ranked opponents and has been owned by his in-state rival (Florida St.). Yes, he has two SEC East titles, but he's done it at a time when the East may be as weak as it's ever been. Once he's reached the championship game vs. Alabama his teams have been largely non-competitive.

He's not doing "bad" seemingly by any objective measure. However, I think Florida has MUCH higher expectations than a middle-of-the-pack top 25 program. Plus, the current AD is not the AD who hired him. If a more "proven" coach became available, would UF consider a change? The program has a lot to offer

Kingsbury has a huge buyout. I think they'll want to fire him, but i think he'll get one more year just because of the money
