No Western Conference team is going to get any respect.
That goes for OKC, Mavericks, Pelicans, Blazers, Clippers
And that is not just for this season, that is for as long as the Spurs continue to dominate the Western Conference.

Ok.
Until the Spurs can close out a 3-2 series and not let Ray Allen pop a three in their face, the LeBron fans couldn't care less.
I'm a Popp fan to the core, fwiw.

They've won the west once in the last 5 years FYI

OKC did it 2 years ago but didn't back it up with NBA title
Beating San Antonio in a Best-of-7 is only way you are going to get any respect in the Western Conference. I don't care if you go 82-0 in the regular season.

Ahh I remember the last time someone crowned the Spurs prematurely:

Memphis did it as an 8 seed in 2011

The commas in your title make zero grammatical sense.

I'd say OKC/DAL/Memphis are respected because they've been sucessful

The Spurs have been unbelievably consistent but have run into buzz saws each of the last 3 seasons in the playoffs:
2011 - Memphis (8th seed) knocks them off in first round
2012 - Win their first 10 playoff games in a row and go up 2-0 on OKC. And proceed to lose 4 straight.
2013 - Probably one of if not the biggest choke jobs in NBA history in game 6 of the Finals vs Miami. If Ginobli or Leonard don't both miss crucial free throws inside of 28 second in the 4th OR the Spurs get a defensive board on Lebron's missed three OR they intentionally foul before Bosh can kick the ball out to Allen, they win. Plain and simple.
