SA has a higher winning percentage than the upstart lakers over that span (which curiously omits the shutting down of the Great Western Forum in 1999, I noticed).

And you'd be incorrect. No team in any major sport has been more dominant winning percentage-wise over this time period than the San Antonio Spurs.

This reminds me if it wasn't for Stern and his message to the refs for the Lakers, take away 2000 finals(4th Q WCF officiating was abysimal), 2001 (or was it 2002) where Kings were screwed out.) And vs the Celtics in their last finals. Lakers did play good D but the Celtics were prohibited from coming within 5 feet of the Lakers.
