Those "other dudes" you speak of. We made fun of them, locked them in the trunks of their Hondas and stole their beer.

What a dumb use of phrasing. Anything COULD happen. The possibility is so fricking remote its not worth even saying.

You essentially are putting words in my mouth that I'm not saying.

You said you think it could surpass soccer in popularity.

I think whatever I care to think. I've always felt Ulty could become an Olympic sport. That possibility is now very real.

I also have opinions about soccer that are very strong, but there's a board on this site for that discussion.

This topic is about the sport of Ultimate and it's granted status by the IOC. It is my opinion that Ultimate is now a legitimate sport played by real athletes. Comprende. Amigo?

You could probably take a group of real athletes and put them out their on the ultimate frisbee field and they'll be beating your group of guys in no time.

I disagree. I don't think ultimate frisbee COULD supplant soccer in popularity. Not possible.

It's been done. They were incredible on D but didn't score a single goal.

No top level athletes are picking ultimate over mainstream sports during their prime. I'm sure some dudes play after they have washed out of their other sports but that does not equal elite level athletes playing ultimate.

I'm curious as to your definition of elite level athlete is. I consider Div 1 guys to be pretty talented.

Then you have no clue what the sport is about and dis it because the main piece of equipment is a flying disc, right? That's some close-minded thinking.

Do you think rythmic gymnastics is a sport?

Cookie couldn't throw it, he'd have to toss it from very close but all you had to do was throw it high and deep. R.I.P Cookie Man.

there are already professional Ultimate leagues in the US.

you are saying there are leagues where men do this for a living?

They don't do other things or this is the majority of their income?
