No one is saying UL > LSU. Louisiana State University is the flagship school of Louisiana. Seeing you guys freak out over "having another flagship university" is childish. You seem to be implying that Louisiana's university system is below the likes of Mississippi, Iowa, etc and cannot have two "flagship" public universities.

Its not about LSU at all. Its also not about any other state.

Its about doing what is best for the Louisiana educational system, and best for the Louisiana taxpayers.

I'm sorry, but its just not best for LA. It may not even be great for those states, either. Mississippi education sucks, so I suspect that it may not be best for them, either.

They ought to win the damn thing.
Who in these supers is demonstratively better?
Nobody can hit with them.

Only issue is that TD Ameritrade does not like the long ball.

I agree with this.

They also don't have the pitching IMO.

Offense cut in half, less than top notch pitching = trouble in Omaha. We'll see though, from watching the regionals and SRs up to now, I don't see a completely dominant team.

If they lack high-end pitching, that will hurt.
But lack of pitching depth won't matter, the way they spread that CWS out to 2 weeks.

This offense can win in any way. It's not just by the long ball. They bunt well, they play good small ball, and they like to steal bases. I think TD Ameritrade plays right into their hands, but we have to win tonight first to advance. And then we will see what happens.

Congrats to the Cajuns! Hope they get the win again today! Would think they are going to face the Cavs if they win, and that is going to be tough but they have my full support! Amazing thing is all but one of their starters is from the great state of Louisiana!
