Good test for Paige, Rose is raw but tough.

Rose is winning this fight... Page has great conditiong but she's very raw as well... Maybe if this was 3 rds I'd favor PVZ; but for 5 rounds Rose is relentless on submissions; Esparza figured her out but she looked improved against Angela Hill... plus how can you not mark for anything involving Pat Barry

I absolutely think she can beat Paige, not saying she will or won't. I would say it is a coinflip fight. I just think this is Paige's first real test in the UFC. Chambers and Herrig are bums.

Absolutely, Joanna is next level.

Paige is stupid for accepting this fight. She's not ready.

I disagree. I did not believe the hype before seeing her in the UFC either. But after seeing her 3 fights I have changed my mind. She is definitely an athlete and has skills. Her is striking is very good. She seems to be well conditioned and has a pretty good gas tank. She has shown the ability to pressure her opponent and control them in the clench. She's not ready? Rose only has had 5 career fights and lost to the only 2 decent fighters she has faced.

Rose has 8 fights including TUF. Its a no win situation Rose has a good shot at beating her and if she wins she'll be fed to the wolves way before she's ready.

Very interesting to read Big John's view during the Rory/Lawler championship rematch. For a fight that didn't end in a KO, it was one of the most brutal stoppages I can remember.

quote:

“Everyone loved that fight, and they should have,” McCarthy said. “But, everyone was concerned about me stopping the fight, either in the third round or the fourth round – stopping the fight with Robbie being hurt and Rory being the winner. Everybody has asked, ‘How close were you to stopping the fight?’ It’s like no one understands. I was never really that concerned about Robbie Lawler in that fight. I was very concerned with Rory MacDonald. From about the fourth minute of the first round on.”

“What I’m seeing when I’m watching Robbie and Rory – Rory is, in the first round, landing more punches, but they’re not real hard,” McCarthy said. “Robbie is not throwing a lot, but when he’s landing shots they are thudding shots. They are heavy. And then he ends up breaking his nose in the first round. I watch Rory and he starts doing what we call aspirating blood.

“As he’s breathing through his mouth, he sucks in more air as he gets more tired – now he comes into the second round and third round he gets a cut in his mouth. And he’s got a cut that’s bleeding into his mouth. In the third round he’s really sucking a lot of air. When he goes after Robbie and he’s hurting Robbie, that’s great, but he’s sucking these little droplets of blood that are now being aspirated. They’re not going down into his stomach, they’re going into his lungs and they’re stopping what his lungs can do as far as dissipating that oxygen to his muscles. This is the thing that I’m worried about. This is what I’m watching.” “

"90 percent of that fight I was watching Rory.”

Edson Barboza to step in for Khabib and fight Ferguson. That should be a fun fight.

Anyone here putting any money on Hendo, or giving him much of a chance to win?

I didn't realize they were fighting. I don't think that's a good fight for brown. Gastulum just seems like a bigger stronger dude. Brown is tough as shite though.
