with Tyson???? The arms out to the side while I take a nap defense isn't the most intelligent one i've seen.

It looked like he was getting up for a quick recovery. He was still wobbly afterwards but the ref didn't know that he would be.

he fell flat on his face without hands and layed face down with his hands straight out to the side instead of defending. i'm not sure how it looked like he was recovering.

i may be wrong but it looked like he was using his arms to get up when Gomi was hitting him in the face. i had money on Gomi so I was glad they stopped it. it obviously was good stoppage because Tyson was wobbly but Dean couldn't have know that. anyone got a gif?

normally me and you are on the same page, but he was out and he was getting up, but that getting up wasn't a guy about to mount a comeback get up, it was a guy getting up because he knew he shouldn't be on the ground for some reason.

When you screw up, you have to own it. That stuff really gets under my skin. Take Lance Armstrong. Lance Armstrong did a number of things and he gave himself cancer. He cheated, he did drugs, and he gave himself cancer. Well, instead of saying ‘Hey listen, I cheated and gave myself cancer, don't be like me.' He actually made himself the victim and then went out and profited something like $15 million dollars from this ‘Hey, poor me, let's find a cure for cancer' campaign instead of just coming clean and saying, ‘Look, here's what I did, I screwed myself up, and I hope people learn from my mistakes.' You just watch these guys and can't help but think, God, what a fraud. You got the whole Michael Phelps being a pothead thing too. I'm just glad I'm in the business I'm in so I can get them in the cage and kick the crap out of them."

Well I guess he can call it quits in politics with comments like this. This dude has become a first class douche and is now talking shite just because he has a microphone in front of him.

My opinion only, and yes I will be watching

I have a question also about rules,
Why when most fighters have worked for a good top position, do they not allow knees or kicks to the head?

The only reason I ask is therebhave been a couple of fights that have stoppages because of a minor brush to the face with a knee or kick (Kongo and Beuntelo)

i feel that if you have gained the dominant position and you leave yourself wide open to it then so be it. I feel the same with the back of the head. There should be a time limit or something to leaving the back of head exposed.

The sport had to adopt unified rules in the states to get sanctioned in all the different states again after the no holds bar way it was billed before that boxing fan John McCain got the sport banned throughout the U.S. The athletic commissions in every state are made up of boxing commission guys who, like yourself hate MMA, so the UFC went way out of their way to make rules that made the sport much more tame. Thus no soccer kicks to the head of a downed opponent or knees even though they are allowed in Japan and probably should be here. Only recently has the UFC gotten sanctioned in many big states and some like NY still wont sanction it yet.

So are you getting nervous? If Toney can fight half as good as he talks, he's gonna kill Couture

I am leaning toward couture getting ktfo.

i wouldnt mind it for the fact that it would be the nail in Couture's UFC coffin. You know he'll be getting undeserved title shots here soon enough it he can just keep getting fights to decision where they always turn out in his favor.

He's a cool guy, but i am kind of hoping for it too, for the exact reasons you stated.

I wanted Couture to lose for that exact reason, but now I don't know if I will be able to stand thin-dick boxing guy telling me how much better boxing is and how all boxers would dominate MMA because the "Stanozolol Headbutt" beat a guy Brett Favre thinks should retire.

But really, who cares? My dad's not bigger than your dad and couldn't kick his arse. There, I said it. I enjoy watching both and don't care what people have to say about which is better and who is tougher.

Way too many defensive MMA fans.
