how am i defensive? all my friends hate the sport. u guys are all i got to talk mma with.

I may have been too broad with my statement. It's not so much with you all being defensive but it's like no one can post anything but positive on mma threads. I watch almost all mma ppvs and make comments based on what I think.

I like mma but I love boxing. I just feel personally that mma is lacking in alot of areas. (as is boxing).

I guess it's each his own on this topic. I probably need to be a little more open also, as do others.

UFC.com is reporting that Alves failed to make weight on his second attempt, but will be allowed to fight. He will be fined 20 percent of his purse.

He even came out and said that this was the easiest weight cut he has ever had....and he fricking misses. Ridiculous. I saw an interview with Fitch the other day where you could tell how frustrated he was with this shite. He has a point. It's the rules. Make the weight or get out of the division. Yes they do get fined 20% but they still get to fight. He missed the Hughes fight by 8 lbs or something crazy like that, still fought, won, and was propelled towards a title shot. IMO it is time for Dana to put on his boss pants and make him move to MW.

and was tweeting tuesday about how he was weighing 210 after eating some good BBQ

i think he's only missed once before the hughes fight where he was freaking 174 and he was busted for using a diuretic another time plus its 100% he is a juiceball

No shite.

And on a side note, is one of these guys really going to get another shot at GSP? They both got their asses kicked.

The upcoming cards get slammed all the time. Including the last one that you got so much heat for. The reason you got everyone riled up is because it was obvious you just looked at the names on the card and half way through the event made a statement based strictly based on that, when the actual fights themselves were much better then expected. You made your mind up ahead of time that it would suck and stuck to your guns even when anyone that remotely watches MMA could see it turned out to be a surprisingly entertaining card.

Mine was more of just a statement on how cleaned out that division really is.

Straight from the files of "Open mouth and insert foot," the Brazilian welterweight went on record this afternoon to call the UFC 117 weight cut "the easiest" of his career.

I read the same thing earlier and was like OK whatever that's cool, then he doesn't make weight.

Kyle Bradley said Dos Santos has the fastest hands he has ever seen in person.

Nelson is very deceiving though and he has a shot on the ground.
