Hah he looked like he broke through under Zorn but then went back to his old ways.

My friends who like the Cowboys would call him radio

What about Patrick Ramsey? He could have been a good pocket passer but for being with the Redskins/Spurrier.

6'2 235 lbs, solid muscle...ran a 4.5 40...very tough, good arm strength...he's the all time leading passer at Rutgers

he played 4 seasons in Detroit for shite coaches, with shite players, that no quarterback could succeed with...given the history of first year quarterbacks, he wasn't the suck everyone will surely remember him as...he only started a handful of games in 4 seasons for just a dreadful organization

I'm not saying he'd have been HOF, but he could've been good elsewhere...then he followed the guy who killed his career to philly...

meh

He was a 5th rounder for a reason.

Simply put, he couldn't throw a football accurately. Under 50% comp pct for his career at Rutgers. He was not a good passer.

no, but I did think, and still do, that the few games he started his rookie year merited further playing time the following season

he had a 300 yard game, a 100 yard rushing game, he won those games, he was only a rookie, and he had something like an 8.5 YPA

didn't you think mark sanchez was the future?

he played at Rutgers and Rutgers was abysmal during those years. Tom Brady was a 6th rounder.

yup. his best moments were when he was scrambling for his life and just slinging it. Wouldn't you say this is something a good coach could develop. Mechanics, footwork, etc.?

I don't have an argument to stand on, in the end...he sucked, but I thought he had something that would have made him more successful elsewhere.

ETA: a kid in my dorm, his uncle played for the lions, so there were a lot of lions games on tv...scroggins, can't remember his first name.

RyanP11 during his time at LSU. Maybe not a star QB in the NFL, but being undrafted, QBs dont get as many chances as a 1-2nd round guy.

If Joey Harrington wasn't a Lion and played for somebody like the Titans he would have much more success, because he would not have been running for his life.

Another what could have been was Josh Freeman. Had the physical skills but he just needed someone who would guide him and teach him to be a pro.

The little we saw him play, he looked like he was going to develop into a star in college at the very least. If he continued his trajectory he could have easily been a 1st round pick.
