Played against Jonathan Toews when I was 14. We won 11-6. He scored all 6 goals
Ended up playing against and with a few people who made the NHL which is kind of cool.

The summer after my junior year of HS, I spent 3 weeks at IMG Tennis Academy in Tampa. I got my arse completely whipped by Dasha Sharapova, Maria's first cousin. She was 12 and about 4'8" at the time.
Some thought she'd go pro but she plays for SMU now and that's as far as she'll likely go.
iPhone is making it difficult to post a pic but needless to say she didn't miss out on many of the good Sharapova genes.

Hill and Collins probably underachieved at Redemptorist considering how talented they were as individuals.
ETA: Underachieved with regard to team accomplishments.

Fellow TN fella here. Corey Brewer and Brandon Wright come to mind for basketball. AAU vs Wright and HS vs Brewer.

American Legion ball. He struck me out after I fouled off a back door slider.

Both were after my time, but not by much. Brewer was Portland, right? And Wright was a Nashville private school?
A few that were just before me were Ron Slay and Big John Henderson at Pearl Cohn. I remember going to Cumberland University to watch an AAU tournament when Henderson was playing. Being a kid, he is still the biggest human I have ever seen in person.

Nice one. Broke all of Maravich's records I believe. I was older than him, however I saw him play once when he was in High School. Always loved his name, and can't believe he chose Duke!
