Heck, one of ND's lineman (yes, lineman) just almost won offensive rookie of the year (Zack Martin). Michael Floyd, Golden Tate, Tyler Eifert, Kyle Rudolph, Theo Riddick...

Out of curiosity, I did some quick research. They've had 20 players drafted in the last 3 years (average of 6-7). In the 8 prior years, they had 22 players drafted (2-3 per draft).

In fact those four teams you listed are the exact four teams that nfl.com lists as having more NFL talent than ND this year.
ND will not have more talent on the field when they meet Clemson in Death Valley this year.
Believe that.

Clemson? Danny Ford and Homer Jordan aren't coming back. Irrelevant since 1981

This guy. Wake me when ND does anything of note.
If you can't see the program Dabo is building at Clemson you're just a blind hater.

Pretty sure that guy isn't an ND fan

So an irrelevant program beat LSU then?

Bama is DBU with 6 first round picks in the past 10 years and the most currently playing.
Also a factor is the DBs have to actually be pretty good in the NFL. A lot of the Bama guys have been busts.

When a delusional fan base is satisfied with an avg of 8-5 over the last 15 seasons, it's time to look in the mirror and think. Clemson will never ever be able to compete for a national title. Modern day college football has changed bro. 18 year olds that are highly recruited will pass on offers to play on the road at Duke and Wake Forest. You're bringing up a bowl game that Clemson won by a point and yall would think it was 1981 all over again. The ACC will never be big boy football. The conference is lucky to have FSU because without them, it's nothing. Period. For the record I am not an Irish fan

Hell they had 8 players drafted in 2014 alone - only LSU had more

IF, Notre Dame could get to 5-0 beating Clemson at their place, they could end up in a New Years 6 bowl easily. If they split with SC and Stanford, they could even wind up in the playoff. As they would have gone unbeaten in the ACC and beat Clemson, BC, Pitt, and UVa in true road games.
I am not sure though they can go through that unbeaten, but it is a real possibility.

This team definitely has the firepower to go through unscathed or 11 - 1, but we've spit the bit against at least one team under Kelly that we had no business losing every single year (Tulsa in 2010, USF in 2011, Pitt in 2013, Northwestern in 2014) except the 2012 title run year (and we very nearly did...really should have...against Pitt that year as well). I just don't trust Kelly; he'll get cute and start throwing the ball all over the yard against teams we can maul up front, and it's cost us.
Also, after last year, we need to stay healthy - can't be throwing out a starting 11 on defense with a bunch of freshmen and walk-ons by the end of the year again.

I love watching random old college football videos before the season. Can it be September already?
