They may be worthy of a top 20 ranking but not top 5 or 10 ranking that some have them at.

Top five is a stretch, but top ten is not.

A team returns 19 or 20 starters and only three or four other college teams have more NFL talent in the two deep right now...if it weren't ND, a lot more people would be calling them a sleeper pick.

I've never been totally sold on Kelly or his staff, but this team is about as loaded as it has ever been since I've been following the program. It's the most talented ND roster in twenty years.

I would have them between 15-20. I saw one publication that had them at 4. That is absurd.

Based on one good performance in a bowl game? Does the name Trevor Knight ring a bell here?

Just curious, why did you go back 25 years? Larger sample size? Honestly though as of recently, Bama is DBU with 6 first round picks in the past 10 years and the most currently playing.

I went back where the article I linked went back to. I don't really care about the title but it's pretty obvious OSU has historically been one of the best

You're joking, right?

LSU
Alabama
Ohio State
Florida State

^ Those teams without a doubt have more NFL talent.

Teams that i think would easily compare as of today:

Texas A&M
Georgia
Auburn
USC

ignores the fact that the ASU game was a 1 possession game before Golsen went on a turn over streak.

Well then y'all clearly should have won

I think he meant three turnovers per game.

says 4 teams can compare in terms of NFL talent, then you proceed to list only 4 teams and then ask if he is joking?

The lack of insight for this guy is funny. He's shown the video and still doesn't get it.

I watched both USC and Arizona State both cruise to victories over Notre Dame. Golson wasn't the problem. Being severely overmatched on the offensive and defensive lines, as well as a lack of talented skill players, was the problem.

Who else was supposed to play in it? Oregon lost to P12 champ Stanford at home (who lost to Notre Dame already). Ohio State was banned from postseason play.

Idk but ND was pathetic. Downright pathetic. It wasn't just the score. Alabama probably played 7 or 8 teams that looked comparable talent wise. ND, holy shite. Their players looked and played like little girls. Fluker and company were mauling their players. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a game that big where one team looked like they didn't belong in the same universe as the other team like that.

You realize everyone will get to watch them right? Can't wait to see how dominant this team is.

Yeah they looked like arse in the title game but that doesn't automatically mean they shouldn't have been there.

Ohio State was banned.
We didn't win our division and looked like arse in the Sugar.
Oregon didn't win their division either and lost to P12 champ Stanford at home (who lost to Notre Dame).
Georgia had their chance and blew it.
Kansas State got stomped at home by Baylor.

Oh I'm not saying they didn't deserve it. Just that there were(had to be) better teams out there.
