How QB stats are compiled. Why should a QB be credited with an 80 yard TD when he threw a screen and the WR broke 3 tackles and outraced the defense?

That reminds me, TD passes and TD/Int as if it's some super meaningful plus minus are overinflated in importance. As long as a guy is not throwing picks, is efficient and moves the team down the field, who cares how many TDs he has? Rodgers will fire a bunch of short TDs in a game, and guys on here immediately go insane with the GOAT talk.

I agree with this as well. What's the difference between a screen pass and an option pitch? The pitch takes a lot more execution, thought, and toughness from a qb but because he pitches it backwards rather than forwards, it doesn't count as anything.

Trickeration is another. That term makes absolutely no sense.

And flat billed caps turned slightly sideways.

NBA refs never calling traveling. It's so blatant when they take 3 steps. the announcers even stopped commenting on it. It's like an unwritten rule now you can take 3 steps. When a guy takes his last dribble BEYOND THE 3 point line and finishes at the rim and there's no call

Announcers referring to injuries and only referencing appendages e.g. "he's out with a leg"

I think Al Michaels was the first to do this, and it just took off from there.

Overly enthusiastic refs. Basketball and baseball are the worst about it.

People thinking they know what's really happening in a football game when they have no clue about the keys or reads.

It's part of the reason I hate watching the games with others

And my biggest is fans saying "if that was me, I would've..."

Every year in college basketbal somebody will get labeled as the best high school player since LeBron. The only player I remember being in Lebrons territory was Greg Oden. I hate when people give Pedro comparisons to every short black hard throwing pitcher. I hate when people talk about how good Drew Brees is and they always use him to say short QBs can be successful in the NFL. Brees is a great QB and him being 2 inches taller wouldn't make him a better QB.

This thread is about things you get disproportionately bothered by. Everyone who watches the NBA complains about flopping.

Foul shooters that high/low-five/back-pat each teammate after every shot, hit or miss.

Grinds my gears.

College football scheduling. I don't care about a game that will 95% be canceled 9 years from now. Make it to where you can't schedule any further out than 5 years. And if a school cancels with 2 years or less left, they pay some type of fine.
