There was ZERO buzz about the final four

Proves college basketball is a poor product. Regular season needs to be less games and doesn't need to start until after Football is over.

They also need to kill the one and done rule. Teams look like high school out there. No incentive for players to stick around if they don't need to. They can take African American studies and then fly to the NBA without being able to read or write properly.

The "madness' is the fake hype that networks try to build up over a boring tournament.

Yeah. The first weekend of the tournament is the only time it's worth watching

I wish it were more like college baseball. You can go pro out of HS, but if you attend college you can't enter the draft until after your third year of college. Now in baseball, you can enter after your second year but only if you turn 21 by a certain date.

In January?

And as far as the one and done, last night just showed there's two ways to skin a cat. You can win with one and dones but you can also win with a veteran team. The claims that the one and done has killed college basketball is hilarious.

I didn't even know the game was on last night until a buddy asked me if we were going to do something for it. That's obviously a personal problem, but just don't care about college basketball. The first few days I'm usually at a bar and hang out and catch the crazy upsets and fun finishes. Once those only have a chance of happening every 4 days or so, I'm out.

It's great that so many people enjoy the back end of the tournament, but it's far from must watch for me. I watched the second half, last night, thought it was cool, then moved on.

While I disagree that the first weekend is the only time worth watching, the general premise that the first weekend is better entertainment and excitement than the final four, sweet 16 and elite 8 isn't wrong.

They could push it back a couple of weeks. CBS has resisted because it would compete with the Masters.

Well if you eliminate half the teams, there won't be crazy upsets because the lower ranked teams aren't even in.

You just aren't a big basketball fan which is fine, but you're not really the target demo.

And you admitted you watch the crazy first weekend anyway. Lots of people are like you. And the crazy first weekend is only possible with this size of a field.
