At this point he can't really be picky.

I wouldn't mind him coming off the bench for Houston either.

shite I'd take him. The Pistons were the worst possible fit. He can be a good player in the right situation.

I'm crossing my fingers that it happens for you guys.

Smith seems like the guy that you always say "he'd be great in the right situation" but nothing ever ends up being the right situation for him.

He is at best a second fiddle on a good team or 3rd fiddle on a great team.

I would love that on the Mavs. Would basically take over Wright's role.

How would the money work? Can he sign any sort of contract?

He can sign for the minimum if he wants.

And almost certainly will.

He and Dwight are BFFs so I can definitely see Houston adding him too.

God I hope not. Still confused as to how Josh Smith was ever held at high esteem.

In the 09-10 season he shot 51% from the field, while scoring 16 points and grabbing 9 boards. He also had 2 blocks per game and didn't shoot stupid 3 pointers like he has lately. He has talent for sure.

Not even.

At best he's 2nd fiddle on a terrible team and 4th fiddle on a mediocre one.

5 years ago. And I didn't even have a high opinion of him then.

Dude is garbage.

He could be really good if he plays within his ability.

I was referring to the guy who said that he wasn't sure why he was ever held in high esteem. He played at a high level at some point in his career.

They need to give him a shock collar and every time he goes outside the 3 point line they shock him

The next team that signs him needs to put a clause in his contract that states: "Any time you are outside of the 3 point line unless in transition, will result in a $5K fine. This will help maximize your ability and our team's chances of winning. If you hold the ball in your hands for longer than 5 seconds you will be docked $5K. If you attempt a game winning shot, you will be docked $25K. Welcome to the team and please sign below"

You picked a subject I'm particularly bitchy about. For some reason I've never liked Josh Smith at all.

In all seriousness, if he's coming to Houston at the minimum for one year, he COULD be a good get off the bench. He does have talent.

I just don't see him working out long term anywhere though. Dude is a bum.

Extra points could have helped the rockets the other night against the MVP Davis and the Flappers

Bring him in.
