This stretch of internationals has shown one thing:

The US still isn't ready

Gem from one of the morons on the "democratic sport" thread:

quote:

but rugby is really boring and if you've ever been to a live game it's not nearly as tough as they say it is. i went to an international match with the french national team and they would slow to almost a crawl before making contact with the other team. very boring game.

Yeah he needs go his record is abysmal. Though respect to Japan that are on a nice nine game win streak and are doing all the right things to move their program forward. I wish we had something like Top League here in the US.

They're already the second highest paying league int he world behind the french Top 14 just on the strength of the Yen. The Dollar is still worth more than all the southern hemisphere currencies. If we ever get serious about our rugby here we could get some foreign talent and coaching over here to help improve our game.

Still props to our boys they played a better game than I was expecting of them and it was an entertaining match. Now beat Canada!

As far the rest of the internationals England vs New Zealand was once again the game of the weekend. What a brutal match too, lots of hard hitting. Sorry Mike Brown but Ben Smith is the best fullback in the world right now.

France vs Australia was a dull game but France at least played defense, the play selection for this game really showed the difference. Who knows maybe they can steal game three from the Wallabies.

South Africa vs Wales was a complete rout just like France vs Australia a week earlier. You could tell Wales was already in off-season form and it showed. Like the French I expect a better match from them next weekend.

Ireland vs Argentina was a fun game to watch again this weekend even though neither team was at full strength. It was fun to watch the young guns from both nations.

Didn't get a chance to watch Canada vs Scotland but I understand there was some red flag controversy at the end costing Canada the chance for the win.

not unless you get bonus points for box kicking. I can't stand watching Petri. He and Fry need to just go away.

Willie le Roux also had a blinder Saturday, at least offensively. I don't think Ben Smith would have let Cuthbert get by him like Willie did.

And would Willie le Roux have made that try saving chase down and tackle on Manu Tuilagi?

You guys ready for some more test rugby?

Kicks off a day early with Scotland completing their tour of the Americas down Argentina way. Young Puma team could take this one.

New Zealand vs England third and final test. England has played tough you could say they have a chance but I wouldn't put odds on it.

Australia vs France third and final test. French selections were better last week but I still don't give them a chance against this Wallabies squad. France needs to fire PSA and get a new coach already.

South Africa vs Wales second test. Wales will show up for this one after the last match but I don't think it will be enough. South Africa is just too big and strong right now and haven't lost to anyone but New Zealand lately.

I think they should have given Barrett the start at #10. Nice to see Kieran Read back in the mix. Hope he makes it through the game without any symptoms coming back.

Fekitoa getting his first start, and we'll see if Cory Jane brings his hands this week.

All Blacks v England
Waikato Stadium, 7.35pm Saturday
15 - Ben Smith
14 - Cory Jane
13 - Malakai Fekitoa
12 - Ma'a Nonu
11 - Julian Savea
10 - Aaron Cruden
9 - Aaron Smith
8 - Kieran Read
7 - Richie McCaw (c)
6 - Jerome Kaino
5 - Sam Whitelock
4 - Brodie Retallick
3 - Owen Franks
2 - Dane Coles
1 - Tony Woodcock

Reserves:
Keven Mealamu, Wyatt Crockett, Charlie Faumuina, Patrick Tuipulotu, Liam Messam, TJ Perenara, Beauden Barrett, Ryan Crotty.

England has to be gutted...2 excellent performances and nothing to show for it. I expect NZ to have a much easier game this weekend.

As for Australia game...the Aussies will win, but depends on which French team shows up to dictate the score line.

Looking for Wales to play much better, but not sure if scoreline will show as the Boks are playing so excellent right now.

As for Pumas...like you all, I feel they may get that scalp this weekend.

I am actually looking forward to seeing the Japan/Italy scoreline. Will Japan continue to show vast improvements, or will Italy get a win on this trip.

As for the US

I'd have to agree he's been in better form than Cruden.

Yeah same here. I kinda like Japan for the win since Italy is really struggling right now.

Yeah I don't like our chances against Canada, who knows though maybe we can pull off the upset.
