That comes to an average of 42 points scored per loss.

Big 12 football. It's fantastic!

If Big 12 defenses are so bad then why did mighty SEC Arkansas score only 24 against that Texas Tech D

Why did Ole Miss of the mighty SEC only score 3 vs. TCU's D last year

Why did Tennessee of the mighty SEC only score 17 in regulation vs. Oklahoma's D

I'm guessing you'd rather watch that shite show in Jacksonville today.

In their last 3 games vs. Big 12 teams the SEC is averaging 14.6 points per game against those terrible Big 12 defenses

SEC teams showing just how bad those defenses are.

Arkansas will be finishing last place in the SEC West. "Mighty" isn't a term anyone would have used before or after the Texas Tech game.

Stop listening to A&M fans. Not all SEC school fans are pumping up every single SEC team as great and unbeatable.

What I am trying to say is that the Big 12 defenses give up a lot of points because they defend more plays and pass more, and run at faster tempos. This means more snaps, more possessions, and more chances to score.

It's like comparing Princeton basketball under Pete Carrill to Loyola Marymount basketball under Paul Westphal. LMU scored and allowed more points because they ran a fast tempo which meant more possessions and shots.

I don't even like the Big 12 very much but these SEC circle jerkers make me constantly defend it

The P5 conferences aren't that much different. Almost every year, each P5 league has a couple very good teams, a few good teams, some average teams, and multiple bottom feeders.

Before this devolves into a conference dick-measuring contest (inspired admittedly by my initial post), you have to admit that averaging 42 points a loss is insane. There are arena football teams that don't do that.

Another odd stat. Texas Tech is averaging 41.7 per loss. They are averaging 44.9 points per game. There are 23 teams that haven't scored as many points this entire season as Texas Tech has in their 4 losses.

They should mix in a little defense.

It's an Sec based message board, of course there are Sec morons. The funny ones are the random Nebraska or USC fans that pump up their programs.

The SEC circle jerk should stay on the rant. One of the things that makes this forum great is all the posters from different fan bases from around the country that post here.

I completely understand and agree with you, but we also get blown up by Saints fans from time to time too. The region obviously skews towards the SEC.
