Maybe if TT was 19, but at 29, the ship has sailed.

Oh grow up.

People you never even head of try out for the MLB.

It's his life. Grow up. Seiously what is wrong with you and people alike? You think he is mental because he wants to pursue another sports career. A simple tryout. He's a freak athlete who a number of years back hit like 12 homers on 15 pitches at Memphis University for some BP. Doesn't mean he would make the MLB but let him tryout if he wants. So when a guy like Odell's brother tries out for an NFL team out of nowhere because he's a workout freak.. it's okay.. no one gives a shite.. But Tebow can't try the same? Tebow keeps himself up very well. He is a competitor. So what if he doesn't want to go to Canada to play football. That's his choice. Not yours.

His Night to Shine for disabled kids he did was one of the greatest charity events I have ever seen.. and he didn't even publicize it or try to get any attention from it. He's a standup guy.. and you people hate on him because you are so sick of the media covering him. Grow up.

People love to just hate on good people.. people love to hate in general. And they so desperately root for his fallings. Just imagine if Tebow actually slipped up one time.. You wouldn't hear the end of it. Seriously this world is shite when a guy like Tebow is considered mental and an awful person that many dislike.

Agree with this.

It's crazy, that competitive fire thing.

He could never play sports again and be a millionaire speaking and doing talk shows, but he wants to play sports. Anyone faulting him for trying to be successful in whatever he can, is a loser.

So competitive he wouldn't switch positions in the NFL. If he wanted it THAT bad he would have done that. I think he's a good dude but definitely has a nice ego on him

Does anybody else find the timing of the announcement really strange? Why would he announce this in late August when baseball season is almost over and football season is about to begin? It seems like Tebow made this decision at the last minute after he was still unsigned by teams as preseason football was about to begin. But I don't know why he had to make the announcement right now instead of waiting until the conclusion of the NFL season. It really wouldn't have made much of a difference to hold off for a couple more months.

2017 has always been the year to target for the Bravos. Coincidence? I think not.

Tebow leading the Braves into the new stadium is going to be a thing of beauty.

How many millions has this dumbass spent on personal coaches and trainers
You think he's spent a few millions on personal coaches?

And even if you were correct, it obviously paid off because he's made a few bucks doing what he does.

I really don't see the issue. Tebow is a pretty good athlete. If he wants to try baseball I don't see the harm in it.
Of course there's no issue or harm in it. He won't make it, but who cares. It's a non story.

Just seems like people are jealous that the guy actually has the talent to try different things
No doubt about that, especially on an LSU message board.

My goodness Mike Greenberg is an idiot. He talking about how he doesn't understand why people in the media and fans alike are mocking Tebow. Get your brain out of the bubble man.

As far as I know, there is only one baseball player who picked up the sport late in life and ended up having a successful career in the majors. That's Ron LeFlore who picked up the sport in his twenties when he was serving time in prison. You just don't have players in baseball like Antonio Gates and Jimmy Graham and Julius Thomas who have successful NFL careers despite not playing organized football until they were 22, 23 years old.

I mean he doesn't like it it seems. I really like him and Spears together, interested to see who they'll replace him with. McElroy will be doing games now. Booger maybe?

frick off.

He's living his life as he wants. If he wants to pursue baseball it shouldn't matter to you or what the media wants to cover. He's actually a very gifted athlete. Doubtful he makes the MLB, but many guys try out..
