The guy just won't go away.

I mean...this is becoming a clown show now...he's apparently training in Arizona and LA right now and "honing his batting and OF skills."
How many millions has this dumbass spent on personal coaches and trainers. He had Tom freakin House as his personal throwing coach. Also, is ESPN not pissed at him for constantly using them as a side chick?

Let me get this straight.
Guy makes it to the NFL but can't hold down a starting OR backup job.
Won't go to Canada and resurrect his career, nor will he play a different position in the NFL despite well, basically everyone whose opinion matters saying "if you want to play football, here's what you need to do."
Holds the line of NFL QB OR NOTHING, DAMMIT.
End result: learns baseball instead.

I agree with every single word you said...I now think the kid has serious mental problems.

Yeah, I hate having to explain to his fanboys and fangirls that a lot of his college career was spent padding stats and such at the goalline. Look, he was a really good college player...I don't dispute that. But people have to admit that a lot went his way. Stacked team, new offense at the time and such.
A lot of his rah rah and his "anything you put your mind to" cliches worked out for him. I'll always respect what he accomplished.
But it's obvious he has an issue with reality. It's like he created this little world where if he thinks he can do it then he actually can, and no one is going to tell him otherwise. Best of luck to him though

I really don't see the issue. Tebow is a pretty good athlete. If he wants to try baseball I don't see the harm in it.
Just seems like people are jealous that the guy actually has the talent to try different things. If it works out great for him. If it doesn't it harms absolutely no one.
Never understood the hatred/disdain for Tebow.

MRW when I was a little Chinese girl and I read

Tebow is an elite level athlete, lots of guys give the MLB a shot when other sports fade. He's most likely too old to pick the game back up now but pitchers get converted to hitters late in their career all the time who are basically in the same boat as Tebow and haven't hit since high school.

He must really hate that SEC Nation job. If I'm the ESPN exec, I'd cut him and look for someone that wants to be there.

So he refuses to play tight end but is fine with playing baseball instead?
Really odd.
Really odd.

I liked Tebow well enough even though I couldn't stand his fans/apologists. One of them happens to be my boss. But I swear at this point, at 29 years old, it seems to be more attention seeking than anything. He's too stubborn to make a switch to a different position in football so he's going to take his ball and play elsewhere.
I read he was a really good high school baseball player but let's be realistic: no chance this ends up being any more than a brief minor league run and he's back on tv.

The guy is delusional.

Just in time for the new Skip show!

over or under: will his minor league stats surpass the GOAT's?

Please, please just go away Timmy. You become a bigger douchebag every year.

frick off.
He's living his life as he wants. If he wants to pursue baseball it shouldn't matter to you or what the media wants to cover. He's actually a very gifted athlete. Doubtful he makes the MLB, but many guys try out..
People really do love to just hate good people. Tebow does so much good for humanity that he has my respect.
Good for him, if true.

I wonder, does ESPN bring him back if this little venture fails?

Oh grow up.
People you never even head of try out for the MLB.
It's his life. Grow up. Seiously what is wrong with you and people alike? You think he is mental because he wants to pursue another sports career. A simple tryout. He's a freak athlete who a number of years back hit like 12 homers on 15 pitches at Memphis University for some BP. Doesn't mean he would make the MLB but let him tryout if he wants. So when a guy like Odell's brother tries out for an NFL team out of nowhere because he's a workout freak.. it's okay.. no one gives a shite.. But Tebow can't try the same? Tebow keeps himself up very well. He is a competitor. So what if he doesn't want to go to Canada to play football. That's his choice. Not yours.
His Night to Shine for disabled kids he did was one of the greatest charity events I have ever seen.. and he didn't even publicize it or try to get any attention from it. He's a standup guy.. and you people hate on him because you are so sick of the media covering him. Grow up.
People love to just hate on good people.. people love to hate in general. And they so desperately root for his fallings. Just imagine if Tebow actually slipped up one time.. You wouldn't hear the end of it. Seriously this world is shite when a guy like Tebow is considered mental and an awful person that many dislike.
