Flair
The Freebirds - especially Hayes when he would commentate alongside Jim 'Spanky' Ross

Goldberg vs. Lesner would be THE MATCH....

quote:Naw. Lesnar is basically Lex Luger (pre-sexy Lexy) or Sid Vicious.
Lesnar is basically Goldberg but a billion times better in every way
Goldberg was kind of his own thing.
No pomp, no pageantry, no trash talk.
When he was on his run, he just walked into the ring, destroyed the guy and walked away. Fun to see.
That said, I would have to go with Brian Pillman or Triple H (in his prime, pre-neck injury)
I
Also loved RVD.

Bill Dundee
Dude lost to Lawler, so he put up his hair.
Lost, got his head shaved, so he put up his wife's hair. Lost again. She got her head shaved. So he put up his Cadillac. Lost again.
How can you not admire that kinda of determination?
Also, Austin Idol and Tommy Rich, simply for what they did to Jerry Lawler in the middle of ring. Hide under a ring all day long and sneak attack him during a cage match. And shave his head. And post him. Multiple times.
Not much today compares with Memphis Rasslin' of years ago.

Junkyard Dog was right in the sweet spot of time for me. I was the right age to be a wresting fan.
Past him it was The Road Warriors. Always amused my 10-12 year old self when they hauled arse in the ring and beat everybody's arse before the bell rang.
