from my Laffy friends the conventional wisdom is some of the Boosters never got over the frick Trump video and the way it was handled. Lafayette is not a big town and the people that matter in the booster club is not a long list.
There was a surge in sidewalk alumni going to games and supporting the team a few years ago but that has begun to drop off.
Hud came in with an "us against the world" mentality and the "us" he was rallying was the entire University Community. It appears that Hud is carrying this on and the "us" has shrunken and become just the team and the "world" has become the university and the surrounding community.

His team is constantly reflecting back poorly on the university. These are stories that have been picked up nationally. The football team has become an embarrassment for off the field shite. On top of all that, his team's have stopped winning. The momentum around the program, interest from the fans/investment in facilities has gotten stale.

Didn't @Lafayette recently extend his contract?!! There's no way y'all can afford to buy him out right now. For the record, I hope HUD stays, he's the gift that keeps on giving.
