Why is there no bowl game between these two conferences?

Idk it sucks

Because if there were, they'd likely be near the West Coast, and that would be an awesome trip

Because SEC teams only play bowls close to home

Apparently, we feel the need to have an SEC-BIG 10 challenge every year instead.

Seriously though. Why the hell would you want to play in BIG 10 country in December / January?

The Cotton Bowl was west for most of us pre-expansion.

I don't think Stanford has played an SEC team in my lifetime....I remember USC going to Aubie and having a home and home with Arkansas.

I'd love for Stanford to play @LSU

Stanford played Arkansas back in the 70's...Jim Plunkett days. I was there. We also scheduled Cal and USC back then.

full game in all its ugly glory

ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 26— The longest gain was a scramble. It figured. But the 33-yard run by Texas A&M quarterback Jeff Granger, after he had been hit in the backfield near the end of a miserable evening, preserved a chance for the Aggies to pursue college football's unofficial national championship.

Granger's run led to a 39-yard field goal by Aggie kicker Terry Venetoulias with 4 minutes, 27 seconds to play to give A&M a 10-7 victory over Stanford. The Aggie victory in the third Disneyland Pigskin Classic spoiled the return of Bill Walsh as the coach of the Cardinal.

I'm sure you can't relate but playing in rainy, sometimes cold weather is fun as hell, but it is definitely more challenging.

It sucks that certain teams can't play in anything but perfect conditions.

I was pointing out that SEC teams only play in perfect weather.

At least that was the reason I agreed.

Come play in the Swamp in August/September/October and then tell me about perfect weather. You'd take your 2 cold games a year in Ohio with perfect weather for the rest of the fall.

Auburn, LSU and Tennessee have all played multiple Pac-12 teams that last 20 years. But those 3 teams are the exception.

Back in 2008 when Georgia traveled out west to play Arizona State it was their longest road trip since 1960.

And that's par for the course for most SEC teams - they refuse to travel and face tough teams on the road in environments they're not comfortable with.

I mean the last time Alabama played a Pac-12 team, it was 2001 and they lost to UCLA and said nope, never again do we come out west.
