Auburn might be good enough to get the job done, but I just see them losing either to Alabama or the SEC title game.

I can see you don't watch much SEC football to think this could actually happen.

Also, what does a top tier program have to gain by beating BSU? If they win then BSU drops hard.. if they lose then they keep getting brought up like OU does.

Lose/Lose .

LSU in 03 did not get a bump because of UGA. If I remember correct the same team can't be counted twice or some such shite.

All of that was thrown to the wayside because the whiny baby Sanctioned Cheaters didn't get to go to New Orleans.

I actually would like to see Boise St. make it to the NCG and then just get shite stomped into the ground. Maybe if they are given the chance and then soundly demolished, the freaking press will shut the hell up about them.

Two-sided sword though. If Boise wins, the Boise suckfest will never end.

I hate the lovefest for a team who doesn't beat anyone.

and when they do get trounced the team that beats them has to hear "yeah well you got a cupcake in the title game" forever. And a team that did deserve it gets screwed.

The Boise talk is just Idiotic. Yeah so a team with decent talent can get up for one game a year with a healthy squad... AWESOME!

Exactly. If the other team beats Boise, they still lose. Its all a load of horse crap. Who was their highest ranked opponent this year? Oregon St. when they were ranked in the 20s?

Exactly. They want to prove themselves, play a season worthy of the accolades.

I just looked at their schedule for this year and it is freaking pathetic.

We beat a # 7 Georgia team that year. We were # 3 behind Oklahoma and USC going into that game. Oklahoma didnt fall that far because they had such a big lead on everyone else that year. We barely nugged out over the USC team that didnt play a championship game. If we hadnt played A # 7th ranked Georgia Team that year we would not have played for the National Championship. Its as simple as that.

No. Wbat put us in the game was Notre Dame lost to Hawaii after we beat UGA in the SEC Champ game. Notre Dame's loss dropped SC's strength of schedule.

WRONG!

The Georgia game improved our strength of schedule. USC was at 37 before LSU played #7 georgia and LSU's was 54. After we beat Georgia our strength of schedule went to 29 and USC's stayed at 37. I am not trying to get into a pissing contest, I am just simply saying that in the past the SECCG has helped the SEC because it was always played between 2 highly ranked teams. It has been another quality win and increased the strength of schedule for the winner. That has helped in the computer polls and the human voters have always taken that game into consideration. They are 2/3 of the total BCS formula. The SECCG will not prove to be as big this year unless South Carolina runs the table and is in the top 10 in December.

I know well what he said.

He suggested that Auburn would likely lose to South Carolina.

Oregon is the real deal. Boise State plays nobody and will be crushed in the post season.

Bleymaier is making a nearly unheard of offer in college football scheduling – Boise will bring its popular, high-profile, top-10 team to any stadium in any town to play any big name team in America in 2011. And they don’t have to return the date in Idaho. So far, no one has bit. ESPN has even become involved trying to broker a deal that will almost assuredly be nationally televised. Still no luck.

Thats not even a true statement or a real story. Its a link to a supposed quote on a blog. Fact is, Boise tried to get a 2011 gig with Nebraska and they would not do it without a home and home plus a 1 million dollar payout. No team is afraid to play Boise but SEC are not going to give up a home game when most every team sells those out. There is not one advantage to playing Boise. Win and you were supposed to. Lose and the whells come off plus your out the revenue from an extra home game.

Game 6: San Jose State. Has won two games this season. Southern Utah and New Mexico State. Oh wait did I mention that SJS lost to UC Davis a D-1AA school. My bad.

and South Alabama beat UC Davis on the road and has NEVER lost a game in the history of the program....so forget Allbarn and the Quacks, Boise vs. South Alabama for the national championship!!!!

No out of conference team wants to play them b/c they might get beat. It's not Boise States fault...they will play anybody.

This thread is full of fail:

1. A 1-loss Bama (or even LSU/AU) has an excellent chance of passing Boise.

2. The suggestion that a 2 loss SEC team would go over Boise is ridiculous. Boise is no Hawaii.

3. LSU did get credit in a lot of ways for beating UGA twice. They only got one (not two) quality wins, but that component of the BCS is long gone.
