Bleymaier is making a nearly unheard of offer in college football scheduling – Boise will bring its popular, high-profile, top-10 team to any stadium in any town to play any big name team in America in 2011. And they don’t have to return the date in Idaho. So far, no one has bit. ESPN has even become involved trying to broker a deal that will almost assuredly be nationally televised. Still no luck.
First of all, this is a bullshite quote from a bullshite blog. Secondly, Fresno said the same thing 5 years ago. Everyone was sceaming about Pat Hill's comment about playing "anyone, anywhere, anytime." As soon as the big boys listened and started scheduling them they got their asses whipped and you haven't heard crap out of them since.
Boise can claim all they want to about being willing to play a major conference opponent. The fact is, unless they are willing to face a major opponent's schedule, it won't prove anything. Once they decide to schedule (and compete) with Florida, Alabama and Auburn in a 5 week span they will get the credit they are looking for, until then it means nothing.

This is one of the things that makes me dislike ESPN. It is not their job to broker this for Boise State. PERIOD.
No, but it is ESPN's job to provide programming that people (and advertisers) want to see. Obviously a match-up between Boise and one of the elite SEC teams would be a well-watched and anticipated game.

Utah has won 2 BCS bowls, too. So have Wisconsin and West Virginia. What does that have to do with their 2010 teams?
About as much as 2006 FU, 2007 LSU, 2008 FU, and the 2009 gumps have to do with 2010 LSU/Auburn/Bama.

Also I thought the latest BCS poll has TCU #3 now.

Boise has this thing in the bag... them and Oregon are the real deal this year. Rematch from last year.
Those teams they beat are really....um...tough. That's why their SOS's are 78th and 101st respectively. They really deserve it.
