Wilson to texans or cardinals would make them a contender IMO, both teams have elite defenses and a way better WR corp than Seattle.
Russell Wilson/foster/Hopkins/Andre Johnson and dpoy jj watt
Russell Wilson/Ellington/Fitz/Floyd/brown and the elite secondary of pp21 and mathieu
Even as a game manager he would thrive on both teams IMO.
Az would thank God.

Like I said, Wilson is a younger more mobile Alex Smith. Don't let a team's success sway your opinion of an individual player's talents.
If Alex Smith could throw the ball down field. Wilson has a great deep ball.
So besides being more mobile and having a much stronger and better arm, they are exactly the same.

Again, I'm not saying they are exactly the same or have the exact same skillet, I'm just saying terms of overall talent level, Wilson is not much better than Alex Smith. He has a stronger arm sure and is more mobile (not as much as some people would give him credit), but is not as accurate as Alex Smith and doesn't protect the ball as well either. Smith knows when to let a play go and throw the ball away.
So again, I have never said Smith was better or even equal to Wilson. I'm simply saying that Wilson is not that much better than Smith to deserve 50% more a year on a contract that Smith when his level of talent doesn't warrant that discrepancy in pay.
I have no idea what Seattle's cap situation is like but I doubt with all the contracts they've handed out the last couple of years that they can afford to take a guy earning 600k a year and jack his salary up to $16-20mil a year and not have to make some cuts elsewhere.
If the Seahawks and Wilson each have an honest moment, they'll come to a contract somewhere in the range of 4 years and around 50-60 million total. Wilson hasn't shown he can be the bellcow for that offense, but if he can win them another Super Bowl in the next 4 years then he can name his prices for his third and probably final contract.

It's like you're trying to dethrone Goldennugget as the resident board idiot.

Bump bump bump it up
Russell Elite Wilson 2015
4024 yards
34 tds
8 ints
110 rating
This was with the 30th rated offensive line and Doug Baldwin as a number 1 receiver
I will accept your apologies in this thread TH03 and hg

My post was on the money in here, just like I was right about Kaepernick
It seems like I might know QBs pretty well.

Wilson has gone to the Super Bowl in half his seasons... I don't care if it was a defensive led team, I'd pay my QB 20 mil a year if he gets me there half the time.
And he damn well could have went this year if not for the Kuechly INT for a TD.
