If Bradford could be had for a 1st, why didn't the Rams do that?

Because they got Foles as well.

I'm not sure why the Eagles didn't jump at that. I guess it depends on where Mariotta drops.

Chip doesn't want Mariota. He really, really wanted Bradford. He actually compared him to Drew Brees. Rams had been interested in Foles as well.

Probably not straight up, Eagles will likely have to throw some other players/draft picks in but Schefter is usually solid. He isn't Chris Broussard.

Schefter didn't say this. Chip Kelly did

Solid point. What is Kellys angle? Trying to force other interested teams to offer more?

Kelly also said "Let's dispel this now. I think this stuff is crazy." in reference to trading up to take Mariotta.

He's trying to save face for the PR nightmare that this trade is

And possibly trying to drum up interest in Bradford. "Oh look I've got a first round pick on the table already! Someone better come get him before he's gone!!"

Meanwhile 31 other GMs laugh so hard that they start choking

I suppose I don't take Kelly as big of an idiot as everyone else does. He managed to go 11-5 & 10-6 in his first 2 seasons in the NFL. I figured he had somewhat of an idea as to what he is doing.

He seems to be a good cook. But whether or not he can buy the right groceries is what we'll find out soon

2 seasons does not make a genius. There have been plenty of coaches with early success that fell off a cliff.

Plus all those players he had to get 20 wins over 2 seasons are gone because he's gone full retard as a GM.

Like I said in the other thread, at this point Chip Kelly could trade his entire offense for a box of shoe laces and you guys would be calling him a genius. "He won ten games! He knows what he's doing! He really needs those shoe laces!"

What Kelly didn't say the offer was from a CFL team.

I'm feeling depressed right now seeing the reality. I did worry though about Chip getting all of this power.
