A Chip Kelly back is going to get a ton of carries. If the odds are like 40/1, it could be a pretty smart play.

He's also made of glass

The Eagles have a qb/rb combo that can't stay healthy

He's played 12 games+ in 4 of 5 seasons. I'm sure I can find players who wouldn't be considered injury prone that have missed more time.

If you are going to "lead the league in rushing" your benchmark needs to be more than 12 games.

and wasn't even the feature back

the chargers ran a rotation of backs

some games he would get like 3 touches to keep him from getting injured while guys like woodhead, tolbert or brown did the work

I just think it's smarter to hope a guy won't get injured than hope a guy suddenly gets good at football.

Would've been even smarter to keep your team's all time leading rusher, who's still playing at a high level.

I think Spiller would be a better fit in Philly.

It appears that Kelly is getting rid of his offensive weapons and signing a bunch of defensive weapons (Alonso and Maxwell).

He doesn't think he will need individually gifted athletes (Maclin and McCoy) to run his offense effectively. He just needs NFL bodies that can run a route, catch a pass, and block down field.

He will trade Bradford for a 1st round pick, apparently he has already been offered. Then use that 1st round pick as a bargaining chip to trade up for Mariotta.
