I faced a similar situation. Now my FIL and MIL love me

Okay but I think Ryan Clark does a better job at just having a conversation instead of being preachy like Bomani Jones has the tendency to do.

But you're right I shouldn't have put Bomani with those too. Bomani is obviously intelligent. The other two are just try hards

Look I'm right with you guys with the Political and race talk, can't stand it myself, but this but the Adam Jones/Red Sox situation is a pretty big story and a sports network as big as ESPN would be vilified if they just swept it under the rug.

Ryan Clark is the truth and he is great ambassador for lsu. Nick saban said he is the smartest football player he has ever had. I heard them talking on the radio and that was a great segment they did.

Ryan Clark had a kid at 18?

Was always a fan.

We get race every where sports is supposed to be sports. It is an escape.

FWIW Ryen almost always talks sports. He's a heady dude who has grounded views and when social issues are exposed in sports like with Adam Jones at Fenway Park, he's going to cover it. And I give him credit for having Ryan Clark on to discuss it. He could have gone in a total Stephen A. Smith direction with his guest, but he's smarter than that.

BTW, I watched about 5 minutes of SportsCenter at 6:00. What has happened to that thing? It was awful. Just so bad.

Why exactly does Michael Smith get so much hate? I'm rather apathetic on Jemele Hill (She did piss me off about magazine cover featuring Lebron/Gisele once). But do any of you have anything specific about Smith that makes him terrible?

race issues will never go away if we keep talking about em

This is incorrect. They will never go away if we just ignore and pretend there's no issue.

Talking about them in a constructive way is a positive, you're thinking of something different where people talk about it but not in a way that is conducive to bringing about a positive change.

I don't care about races.

only levels of class.

and yes you can be poor and have class.

its like spoiling a child to keep giving the baiters a platform or soapbox to spew shite about who "they" think hates them. when in fact it is them who hate others.

And some people care about races. not talking about it and pretending it doesn't exist certainly won't help to fix the issue.

Did you even listen to Clark? His message was the complete opposite. It was about proving that he was more than just a race and a profession by being a good person, that is how he overcomes racism.

If you cannot believe that 20 years ago a white dude in New Orleans didn't want his daughter banging a black dude, you need to get your head out of your arse. shite, look at all the bbc jokes/insults on here.

I did like the other story about a drunk frat dude stumbling into his Dad's house and it became one of his best friends.

Well, it exists.

When Ryan Clark got the white woman pregnant, her father said he was just a n***** that would never amount to anything or take care of the baby.

That is 100% racism.

Guess what? That baby is now 16 and lives with Ryan full time....

Wait a minute, if you think if you don't talk about an issue it's just gonna go Poof and disappear? Is that how you handle your problems? How old are you?
