I honestly didn't give a shite if my FIL liked me or not or my daughter for that matter. My wife and I had our daughter out of wedlock and I understood how that upset him. At first he assumed the worst. We got married 7 months later after I brought a house and we are cool now. We actually are building a small walkout deck on the pond at his house this summer.
