Is it better to win titles in 'sports no one cares about' than to be completely irrelevant in every sport all together?

Football, Basketball, and sometimes Baseball(only if your school is good).

The only sports that matter in High School..

When was this, like 60 years ago? Not flaming, just curious to see if this is correct since i know it hasn't been in the last 20-30 years.

Has any team ever done what Jesuit did in 1946? Undefeated state champions in baseball, basketball, track and field, and football; plus, American Legion State and World Series Titles.

Highly doubt it.

West Monroe's best year was 1998. Football, baseball, powerlifting-boys and girls, softball, and I think they were in the finals/semifinals in basketball for both boys and girls. I know they set the 4 x 100 record that year too, but not sure if they won state in Track & Field.

We had multiple chances in the early 2000's to get to the Dome, but blew it. Those were some quality teams too.

I'm pretty sure Devery Henderson and the Opelousas Tigers won State T&F in 5-A in 98

So winning 2 state championships and a runner-up in 3 years isn't relevant? Not to mention Katrina ruining a 3rd straight title.

Speaking of relevant, how about Rummel never winning a state football title. That = irrelevant.
