IND Rushing ATT YDS AVG LG TD
Ahmad Bradshaw 19 95 5.0 27 1
Trent Richardson 13 35 2.7 7 1

Whats wrong with these Bama backs?

I guess their offensive line is so dominant in college that they can't read the NFL. Maybe this should be on the recruting board.

Lombardi sold high on Trent...genius move

Now today was more indicative of the switch and not being acclimated, but Trent will be a career goal line back.

I think Richardson will be ok with the Colts, but I think the Browns were smart as shite for trading him for a 1st.

Truly elite running backs are very rare. Even when one comes out they have to be paired with a decent o line and offensive scheme. Decent running backs are a dime a dozen and most running backs, even highly touted 1st round pick backs, fall into that category. Drafting a running back is almost always a roulette game. Even if you do take the most highly acclaimed back in the draft they rarely live up to the hype.

This. He's only been with the Colts for a week. No way he's comfortable yet or even knows the playbook. He'll be good with them

But the trade was brilliant. Next year they can draft a QB from a deep QB class. Also get a top 20 receiver from a loaded receiver class. RB's are easy to find.

Alexander had one of the best run blocking lines in football history. But once they lost Hutchinson(combined with injuries) his game went downhill fast.

Not a knock on him but that line consistently opened up huge holes. He did good things after hitting the holes though.

And they gave up a 1st round pick for him. Maybe we have a little hope that someone will be stupid enough to give us a high pick for Ingram.

I wouldn't think twice about getting Richardson with the same pick that we got Ingram with. TRich is a beast.

Standard Saints Trivia all should know...

Who was the first player the Saints ever drafted? How did that turn out?

Les Kelley RB Alabama 1st Rd #26 pick 1967

He couldn't make it as a RB at all. Actually was more of a FB by today's standards. No carries for the Saints ever. They tried him a LB. Ended up on special teams only. Was out of the NFL forever after 30 games. 1 pick & 2 fumble recoveries is his legacy.

An ominous start for the new franchise. The dreadful drafting and trades went on for a lifetime it seemed.

He was playing against on of the better defenses in the league, and has been there less than a week. You do realize how advanced a NFL playbook is right?

He was tied for the 4th most rushing TD's last season.

When T-Rich is in game, 49ers playing run. Figure he probably knows rushing hole assignments better than pass protections at this point.
