I thought the new CBA prevented Super Teams from being formed?

The Luxury tax. The Lakers are going to be raped next season because of it.

Sure, but if teams want to pay the crazy penalty, they can still have super teams.

I don't either one of these guys as fits for what the Rockets are doing (3s and lay-ups/FTs). They play at a pretty fast pace. Paul likes to slow the game down. Howard can play fast, if he can get a handle on the wear and tear. As I've said before with Dwight, I'm not sure what his game is going to look like after this athleticism begins to fade. Who knows? Maybe McHale can give him some new moves.

I still don't like Dwight to the Rockets though. A young fast team like that with a budding superstar brings in a prima-donna? All that good karma and love they get kind of goes out the window.

Did anyone actually read the article? I got the impression they would be pursuing both but not as a package. They talk about moving TRob as a cap clearing move and you need a hell of a lot more cap space than that to get both. There are certainly ways Houston can end up with both, that's just not what I read about in the article.

You're right. The headline is the only thing that implies the Rockets are shooting for both as a package.

ETA -- They've since changed the headline.
