He should grab picks and some young talent from Houston

And the Lakers don't have the leverage to get anything decent in return.

Houston just needs to send back enough in contracts to stay under the cap. Howard for Asik and Parsons works even though there's a ~$12m difference.

If Howard really wants that 5th year, they do.

lol
The Lakers aren't getting Parsons.
That fifth year is overblown. If everything works out, Howard should be angling for another max contract at age 31 (as opposed to 32)

This is all the same stuff I heard during season 1 of the Big 3. Pieces don't fit. They can't make it work.
lebron, bosh, and wade all made a concerted effort to make it work, though. howard and cp3...different class of person
and that first year for the heat had some "figuring out to do" and it came together in year 2 b/c wade and bosh accepted inferior roles. again, i don't see howard or cp3 doing this

Howard and CP3 are coming home

Pick and rolls with Howard and CP3 would be pretty epic.

Another team for Howard to ruin

I really don't think there is any way to do it financially without losing parsons
Personally I'd go for CP3, lose lin and let Asik Develop. Dwight is a beast, but Asik isn't a stiff the guy averaged a double double last year. Lin on the other hand......sucks

Did anyone actually read the article? I got the impression they would be pursuing both but not as a package. They talk about moving TRob as a cap clearing move and you need a hell of a lot more cap space than that to get both. There are certainly ways Houston can end up with both, that's just not what I read about in the article.

Trying real hard to be relevant. Not a bad way to do it.

To be fair, after that run he did play a rather large role in ruining the team.

Everyone saying this move would be stupid and that Howard and cp3 ruin teams are ignorant. Who else on the market should the rockets or anyone else for that matter go after? Either one of those players will make a team instantly better and gives you a better chance at making a run to a championship than you had before.

Rockets need a good power forward, not another center to back up Asik.
